Matter is a non-profit organization that believes the simple act of being resourceful can change the world. By seeing a new purpose for what others cast-off, we are able to partner with service organizations to deliver opportunities to those living in scarcity. It’s our calling to create a world where we all matter. Since 2000 - when the organization began operating as "Hope for the City" - we have re-purposed valuable goods and distributed material resources to organizations serving those living in scarcity. Over the next 14 years, we have evolved to become an organization that has helped distribute more than $550 million in wholesale goods to people in need all over the world. And that was just the beginning. We have come to understand that, while the amount of goods donated is great, the number of lives impacted is something far greater and more important. Through the simple act of being resourceful, we are addressing the needs of people living in scarcity while creating a better world. Today, Hope for the City has grown to be called "Matter", a name that stands for not only what we distribute, but also a call to action for us all to matter more. Although our name has changed, we will always be an organization founded at the intersection of faith and opportunity.

Our Christ-centered mission is to provide excellent physical, spiritual, emotional, educational & economic care for at-risk children and families in Haiti, empowering the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Roots Ethiopia partners with communities in Ethiopia to turn local ideas into lasting change. We work together to improve schools, educate children, and enable livelihoods. We maintain a strong focus on supporting community identified solutions for job creation and education in Ethiopia.

The Nepal Project is a IRS 501(c)3 corporation that performs two tasks for Nepali citizens. 1.We educate Nepali leadership in American Educational and Construction Methods. We bring them to the US for schooling and training. 2.We provide funds to purchase materials used to build schools. Nepali citizens contribute their time to provide labor and time. The Nepal Project staff oversee the use of these funds, the budgets for the materials and training as well as all accountability of the money. Through this, we gain opportunities to express the love of Jesus Christ and share the Message with Nepali citizens. We visit Nepali quasi-regularly to review our past efforts and meet with local leadership to sort out what they would like us to do next.

Aruna Project is an impact driven athleisure brand that brings lifelong freedom to the sexually enslaved and enables our customers to be active, build confidence, and create change. By uniting women around the world, we envision a day when every woman is free to choose her own adventure. By mobilizing thousands to take part in Aruna Runs across the US, we can bring freedom to the enslaved through our Training Center in the heart of the brothel system. By offering employment through our Indian Private Limited Company to those who have stepped into freedom, we can sustain their freedom and restore the liberating power of choice. The Asteroidea Health Alliance has been founded with the charitable mission to equip community-based health initiatives in east and central Africa with the tools and resources to improve the health and well-being of their communities.

District NRI (Non-Resident Indian) Foundation, Inc. is established to bring socioeconomic change in under-resourced communities in India through education, provision of basic necessities, preventative healthcare, and rural empowerment.

Its primary aim is to support the JAQ Education Trust in Pakistan, which operates the Pehli Kiran School System, a network of eight schools and 1900+ children. The objective is to promote primary education for out-of-school children, especially girls, in the lowest income communities, to help them better achieve their potential and become productive members of society.
