The Hopi Foundation builds and manages permanent community funds to provide grants that enhance the quality of life for 12,000 Hopi people throught the Hopi Nation. Itam naapyani, is a Hopi phrase that means "doing the work ourselves". Inspired by this teaching, the Hopi Foundation is committed to meeting the charitable needs of the Hopi comunity. The mission of the Hopi Foundation is to foster self reliance, self sufficiency, a sense of pride; to recognize ability and the commitment to pass on learning to our own people; and to give back. We are driven by the honest motivation to sincerely try to help others help themselves. Since its inception, the Foundation has initiated innovative approaches to enhance and preserve the Hopi traditional way of life, while at the same time, meeting the challenges of a modern and highly technological era.

Create opportunities for imbibing Hindu Values, Hindu Scriptures and Hindu Heritage through Bal Vihars, Camps, Family Retreats, Hindu Community Centers and Educational Institutions. Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. is a volunteer grassroots organization whose mission is to promote and strengthen friendships between teens from divided communities and extend those friendships to their families and friends. The friendships are developed through homestays with American families. Each family hosts two teens – one from each side of a conflict. The teen pair shares a bedroom and learns about each other, understanding their different perspectives and realizing that friendships can develop despite significant political and cultural differences. With friendship, an atmosphere is created that allows for mutual respect and understanding – a key ingredient for peace. CFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States. Our volunteers were active in Northern Ireland from 1987 until 2007. We are currently active in Cyprus since 2009 and in Israel/Palestine since 2018. In our efforts to maintain neutrality, we do not accept government funding and rely solely on gifts from individuals, charitable foundations, and businesses who wish to make a difference for peace in the world. The mission of IRIS is to enable refugees and other displaced people to establish new lives, regain hope, and contribute to the vitality of Connecticut’s communities. Refugees are men, women and children who fled their countries of origin due to persecution on the basis of their race, nationality, religious belief, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. According to international law, refugees are those who have a "well-founded fear of persecution" and are unable to return to their countries without risking violence to themselves and their families, including torture and death. They are granted special immigration status according to international law. Each year the US government invites a small number of them to start new lives, or "resettle," in this country. The front-line work of resettlement is done by local agencies like IRIS. IRIS works intensively with refugees, particularly during the first year of their resettlement, to help them build lives of their own choosing in the US. IRIS also serves the larger immigrant community through its Food Pantry. Through outreach, advocacy, and public events, IRIS educates the community about the refugee experience and issues of national and international importance that touch all of our lives.

The mission of JAMPACT is to use the collective energy, professional acumen and resources of its members and volunteers to support and improve Early Childhood Education in Jamaica. The goal is to provide learning tools that meet the demands and inspire young children to get excited about their education at a very early stage. JAMPACT encourages diaspora engagement through volunteerism that satisfies the educational needs of children across Jamaica via our signature Annual School Supplies Drive.

Their major educational services are weekend classes for children and adults. These classes teach the Qur’an and Arabic, religious studies, as well as reading and writing lessons in Pashto and Farsi, which are the languages spoken in Afghanistan.
