CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world. Since 1951, CISV has been offering a range of local activities, international camps, family-hosted exchanges and community-based projects. Our Educational Principles are that we appreciate the similarities between people and value their differences, we support social justice and equality of opportunity for all, we encourage the resolution of conflict through peaceful means, and we support the creation of sustainable solutions to problems relating to our impact upon each other and the natural environment.

Global Volunteers is an international development organization mobilizing teams of short-term volunteers on long-term development projects to help children reach their full potential abroad and in the U.S. We work with and under the direction of local leaders in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, North America, South America and the South Pacific to provide the essential services to families as prescribed by the United Nations. Founded in 1984, we are in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and cooperate with other U.N. agencies such as UNICEF.

The Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation teaches Americans about the academic and financial needs of Ukrainian Catholic educational institutions in Ukraine. In a sincere commitment to personal involvement and high standards, the UCEF works with these institutions hands-on to meet present needs and develop resources for the future. Through grant and endowment programs, distribution of books and teaching materials, and collaborative volunteer projects, emphasizing foreign exchange of students and faculty, we foster the communion of Ukrainian Americans with the Ukrainian nation and of Roman Catholics in the West with the largest Eastern Catholic Church.

The Quabbin Reservoir, located in central Massachusetts, was built in the 1930’s to provide clean drinking water for the Boston region. Over 2500 people in the towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich, Prescott, and parts of seven other towns, were forced to give up their homes in the Swift River Valley to make this project possible. Today, Quabbin is recognized as one of the largest drinking-water reservoirs in the world, a remarkable feat of engineering, an “accidental wilderness” that is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, and a place that brings bittersweet memories to many who once lived here.

Sisterhood Agenda is an award-winning, tax-exempt nonprofit organization that creates and implements activities for women and girls around the globe for education, support and empowerment. Sisterhood Agenda promotes positive social change and has over 6,000 global partners in 36 countries. Global partners create an extensive sisterhood network to increase local organization capacity and unite women and girls. Sisterhood Agenda's SEA (Sisterhood Empowerment Academy), based in the U.S. Virgin Islands, attracts international participants. On global and local levels, Sisterhood Agenda addresses social, health, economic and cultural issues facing women and girls to promote positive life outcomes. Sisterhood Agenda's social impact is expanded through partnerships with agencies, individuals and businesses throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, India, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and other geographic regions. The Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice continues the work that Rachel Corrie began and hoped to accomplish, and carries out that work with her vision, spirit, and creative energy in mind. We conduct and support programs that foster connections between people, that build understanding, respect, and appreciation for differences, and that promote cooperation within and between local and global communities. The foundation encourages and supports grassroots efforts in pursuit of human rights and social, economic, and environmental justice, which we view as pre-requisites for world peace.FOUNDATION GOALSEducation: We conduct and support projects that educate for peace and justice.Connections: We conduct and support projects that foster connections and understanding between peoples on global and local levels with initial and continuing emphasis in the Middle East.Art & the Written Word: We conduct and support projects that promote the use of art and the written word in fostering justice and peace.Grassroots Participation: We conduct and support projects that educate for, encourage, and facilitate active, individual grassroots participation in bringing to fruition a positive world vision.GUIDING PRINCIPLESIn its work the Foundation is guided by the following principles which reflect the vision, philosophy, spirit, and style of Rachel Corrie in whose memory it was founded:We believe that injustice must be challenged and that human rights and resistance to oppression “must be included in the way we define ourselves as a community."We believe that education for justice and peace is a basic skill that must be universally nurtured.While supporting the advancement of human rights and social, economic, and environmental justice for all, we will emphasize efforts to alleviate the burden on women and children, who too often suffer the most.We are committed to the principles and practice of non-violence and to their advancement as means of effecting change.We view art, the written word, and other forms of creative expression as valuable tools for building understanding, respect and appreciation for differences and cooperation between peoples. We value and seek creative, and even unconventional, approaches to problems.We agree with Rachel that it is important to make commitments to people and places. We will continue the commitment to Rafah that she initiated and intended to maintain.
