Established in 1946, Jewish Family Service of Tidewater (JFS) has had a long-standing tradition of caring and concern for the community it serves. JFS is not a religious organization: we are a non-profit social services agency that serves ALL people throughout the Commonwealth. Our commitment to preserving the well-being of every person, regardless of race, religion, or financial circumstance is upheld by highly committed and caring staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors. JFS provides an array of services to help meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. Friends of Burkina Faso (FBF)

The mission of FBF is to promote good will, cross-cultural understanding and friendship between the people of the United States and Burkina Faso; to support grass-roots development projects in Burkina Faso; and to enrich lives of the citizens in both countries. Its Projects Committee serves as a vehicle to facilitate the organization's support of development activities. The Committee evaluates proposals, selects projects, monitors activities, and informs members about project developments.

The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota's mission is to provide high-quality immigration legal services to meet the steadily-growing needs of Minnesota's low-income immigrant and refugee communities.   ILCM's goals in support of its mission are to: Remedy legal problems by providing quality immigration legal services to low-income immigrants and refugees of all nationalities; Prevent legal problems by providing law-related education to immigrants and refugees of all nationalities; and Raise public awareness of immigration issues so as to encourage sound public policy that protects the universal human rights of immigrants and is both compassionate and practical.
