The mission of JASSW is to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Japan and Washington State by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information. JASSW was founded on July 24, 1923 by leaders from Seattle’s business, academic, and diplomatic communities. Except for a brief period during World War II, our organization has remained active in fostering Japan-Washington State trade, business, and cultural activities and maintains a close relationship with key government and private organizations, such as the Consulate-General of Japan and the Japan Business Association of Seattle. Today, we maintain a diverse membership of Japanese and American corporations and individuals from throughout the state and provide varied programs that build positive U.S.-Japan relations. The Society is one of 38 independent members of the National Association of Japan-America Societies. Until the 1980’s, JASSW was run entirely by volunteers; today, our staff consists of four full-time professionals and our Board of Directors is headed by an annually elected Chair and composed of local and state leaders in business, government, education, and the arts.

Create opportunities for imbibing Hindu Values, Hindu Scriptures and Hindu Heritage through Bal Vihars, Camps, Family Retreats, Hindu Community Centers and Educational Institutions. Sampark – Network Establish Worldwide Contacts with Hindus institutions, temples and people through projects and programs focusing on Hindu interests. Bridge communities and people of all faith. EERC mission is to facilitate communication and forge friendships between students from Romania and USA. We believe that exposure to other cultures is invaluable in shaping the younger generation views of the world and of their own potential in positive and enduring ways. We create opportunity for middle school students from Romania to experience American life by attending overnight camps or living with a local family while attending local day camps. This experience opens further opportunities for them to pursue when they return home. Equally important is to present these vibrant young people as ambassadors of the Romanian culture. In our experience, the Americans whose lives they touch find these interactions enriching and gain new insights about other cultures. These shared experiences produce benefits to both sides that extend long beyond the immediate experience, even to subsequent interactions that occur beyond our program. We select students who demonstrate the intellectual and emotional maturity to benefit from this unique opportunity. They are boys and girls from various areas of Romania who are fluent in English and who demonstrate strong academic and personal characteristics. With our help, this rising generation will be engaging in a world without borders. We bring the world closer to home.

Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. is a volunteer grassroots organization whose mission is to promote and strengthen friendships between teens from divided communities and extend those friendships to their families and friends. The friendships are developed through homestays with American families. Each family hosts two teens – one from each side of a conflict. The teen pair shares a bedroom and learns about each other, understanding their different perspectives and realizing that friendships can develop despite significant political and cultural differences. With friendship, an atmosphere is created that allows for mutual respect and understanding – a key ingredient for peace. CFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States. Our volunteers were active in Northern Ireland from 1987 until 2007. We are currently active in Cyprus since 2009 and in Israel/Palestine since 2018. In our efforts to maintain neutrality, we do not accept government funding and rely solely on gifts from individuals, charitable foundations, and businesses who wish to make a difference for peace in the world. Our mission is to share God's universal love as revealed in Jesus Christ with the campus communities of Northern Virginia; to encourage students and others in their intellectual and spiritual journey; to cultivate service to others as a way of life; to affirm the dignity of all people, foster reconcilement among those who are alienated, and nourish multi-cultural experiences of inclusive community; to advocate for peace with justice in personal, social, and international life; and to witness to the unity of the human family.

Our mission is to inspire youth in Japan and the United States to look beyond their communities, embrace diversity, and become active global citizens by fostering international friendship through exchange of culture and collaborative learning of foreign language via an educational exchange website.

The Business Council for Peace (Bpeace) is the nonprofit coalition of Skillanthropists. Our mission is to lift international communities in need by advising local entrepreneurs on how to scale their businesses to create significant employment for all and expand the economic power of women. PASO – West Suburban Action Project (Proyecto de Acción de los Suburbios del Oeste) is a community-based social justice organization that works to engage community members to address issues that affect them, their families, and neighbors with the mission to build stronger communities where all residents can live dignified lives regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic or immigration status.

Our mission is to empower individuals and organizations in and from Central Africa to rise from poverty and become equipped for every good work. Passion for Africa assists legal immigrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the Raleigh, NC area in becoming productive citizens of their new country. Our international program provides schools supplies, books, and equipment to schools in the DRC.

Through international people-to-people relationships, we promote global peace through mutual respect, understanding and cooperation.
