Neighbors Abroad is the official Sister City organization of Palo Alto, California, promoting citizen diplomacy and international friendship. Our mission is to provide the people of Palo Alto and its sister cities an understanding of each other as individuals, as communities, and as countries — and to foster a better understanding of the world. Founded in 1963, Neighbors Abroad today manages year-round activities for Palo Alto and its six sister cities.

The Irish International Immigrant Center assists immigrants from Ireland and from around the world as they integrate into American society, and with partner organizations, promotes reconciliation in Ireland. We are a vibrant welcome center that provides legal, wellness and education services, advocates for systemic change, and facilitates cross-cultural community building. The Fund for American Studies has been educating young leaders on the values of freedom, democracy and free-market economies since 1967. Eleven institutes around the world bring college students together for educational programs engaging them in a rigorous examination of economic concepts, political systems, and moral philosophy. Our goal is to prepare young people for honorable leadership by educating them in the theory, practice, and benefits of a free society.

The National Peace Corps Association connects and champions Peace Corps community members in “bringing the world home.” Our Goals: *Develop essential networks and information resources for and about the Peace Corps community. *Provide National Peace Corps Association members and Groups with service and education opportunities that build on their Peace Corps experience and values. *Advocate for the Peace Corps and its values and for critical issues identified by National Peace Corps Association members.

Arts To End Genocide combines the power of art and technology to bridge cultural divides and to create a dialogue about human rights between children around the world. Artists have always had the power to touch people on a profound emotional level. Today, new media technology enables us to impact a broader audience. The message being delivered is one of tolerance and human rights. We engage, educate and activate in a call for social justice.

Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. is a volunteer grassroots organization whose mission is to promote and strengthen friendships between teens from divided communities and extend those friendships to their families and friends. The friendships are developed through homestays with American families. Each family hosts two teens – one from each side of a conflict. The teen pair shares a bedroom and learns about each other, understanding their different perspectives and realizing that friendships can develop despite significant political and cultural differences. With friendship, an atmosphere is created that allows for mutual respect and understanding – a key ingredient for peace. CFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States. Our volunteers were active in Northern Ireland from 1987 until 2007. We are currently active in Cyprus since 2009 and in Israel/Palestine since 2018. In our efforts to maintain neutrality, we do not accept government funding and rely solely on gifts from individuals, charitable foundations, and businesses who wish to make a difference for peace in the world. The Friends of the Arava Institute’s mission is to support the critical work of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies through public awareness, student recruitment and fundraising campaigns. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies is an environmental, research, and academic institution located in Israel, dedicated to advancing cross-border environmental cooperation in the face of political conflict. The Institute prepares future leaders - Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and students around the world - to cooperatively solve the regional and global challenges of our time, teaching them that "Nature Knows No Borders."

The International American Relief Society, ''IARS'' is dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through relief and development programs. The IARS focuses on alleviating poverty in the USA and in the World, wherever appropriate humanitarian response may be needed. In other words, the IARS' humanitarian-driven mission is to help individuals and families affected by forced migration and/or poverty. Helping to rebuild their lives, restore a sense of dignity, and fully participate in their communities by providing compassionate support, resources, and programs tailored to their unique needs.

More than 70 years after the Holocaust, genocide and other violent atrocities remain a threat to global peace and security. Since 2008, the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities (AIPG) has worked to build a world that resists and prevents genocide, driven by the knowledge that governments and individuals can act to save lives before, during, and after the outbreak of mass violence, but that doing so requires training, technical know-how, resources, and a commitment to action among multiple stakeholders. We pursue a world where never again are people targeted for violence and death due to their identity. AIPG’s core programming trains, equips, and empowers government officials and community leaders with the tools to confront the risk factors and warning signs of violence based on identity-- an approach that no other organization takes. Our growing network of international alumni form a global architecture that is leading nations in preventing, responding to, and recovering from identity-based violence. We also facilitate the creation of regional and international cooperation networks to promote a multilateral approach to protecting vulnerable populations, strengthening democracy, and preventing mass atrocities.
