Mentoring A Touch From Above

“One group of adolescents at greatest risk of failing to make successful transitions to adulthood are delinquent youth who end up in the "deep end" of the juvenile justice system, in its detention centers and other locked institutions.”* Mentoring, A Touch From Above (MATFA) was founded in 1998 precisely to help these young people in the "deep end" make a successful transition to adulthood. MATFA mentors incarcerated and at-risk youth to help them become positive, productive young adults by emphasizing accountability and forgiveness and providing life skills. MATFA trains and supports mentors to help youth in the program acquire skills for successful and positive re-entry into society.
