Nusci Nutrition Science Foundation

Founded in 2012 by people who have had their lives changed by the dietary guidance of the doctors and their books cited here, NuSci Nutrition Science Foundation is a nonprofit --IRS 501(c)(3)-- organization that has a four-fold mission: -Identify the most solid scientific evidence about the relationship between nutrition and health. -Communicate these findings to individuals, health organizations, schools, food manufacturers, and food stores. -Assist healthy eating through publishing a NuSci diet compliant list of food products and allowing food manufacturers and restaurants to print the NuSci trust mark on their compliant products. -Assist healthy eating by maintaining a wiki of NuSci diet compliant recipes and meal plans.

Cul2vate

Founded in 2016, Cul2vate grows and delivers nutritional community-grown produce to feed the local hungry. We work to fight the incidence of food deserts in Middle Tennessee by donating high quality, fresh vegetables to those in need. Additionally, Cul2vate offers those in need of a second chance in the form of discipleship, life skills and job readiness training. We call these individuals "Cul2vators" as they are cultivating new life in the crops they nurture and within their own lives. While feeding the hungry in body and spirit is our focus, we also redeem underutilized land while fostering volunteerism and increasing agricultural awareness.

Educating Tanzania Foundation

To educate and improve the health and safety of the neediest children of Tanzania, bringing hope and opportunity to their families and communities. The ripple effect of an education has far reaching and powerful effects to the members of a community, improving the overall economy, decreasing the gap between the rich and the poor.

Feed America First of Tennessee

Feed America First was founded in June 2000, and our mission is to provide food to those who feed the hungry. We receive large scale food donations from manufacturers, producers, retailers, community food drives, etc. We then sort and portion the food with the help of hundreds of volunteers each month. Finally, we distribute the food to more than 200 partner agencies across the middle Tennessee region. With the help of these partner agencies, Feed America First serves over 35,000 families each month. At Feed America First we believe hunger will cease to be a problem in America when we refuse to allow our neighbors to go hungry. For every $1 donated, we are able to provide enough food for 10-15 meals!

Kanbes Markets

Kanbe’s Markets provides access to fresh, healthy foods in the areas of Kansas City designated by the USDA as a “food desert”, where residents lack consistent access to healthy and affordable food. Their goal is to eliminate food insecurity by providing a distribution model that includes more people, enhances small businesses, and improves communities, one neighborhood at a time.

Mahereza Nutrition And Health Center

Our mission is to reduce child mortality, improve maternal and infant health and decrease malnutrition through education and the opening of one nutrition center in Antsirabe, Vakinankaratra region, Madagascar. Mahereza means to encourage, to support, and to lend a hand in Malagasy. Once this center is operational and successful, our purpose will be to train community health workers from the countryside and send them back to their communities with knowledge and motivation to help their villages.
