Lifestyles Of Maryland Foundation

Organizational Mission: Help, Hope and Transformation LifeStyles’ mission is to provide affordable and accessible services that support and encourage individuals, families, and community development. Since its inception, LifeStyles has been dedicated to issues relative to health, human services and economic growth in the community.We act as an outreach, referral, and service delivery source promoting the dissemination of materials to educate the general public and navigating persons through existing services. Annually, we serve between 12 – 14,000 individuals. Some of the services that the organization provides include:  Emergency and transitional housing shelter programs, to include: hypothermia shelter program, domestic violence safe housing, men, and women and children’s; Transportation for older adults, low-income, homeless, and those participating in drug and family recovery court systems; Emergency assistance to include: food pantry; clothing closet; homeless concierge services (i.e., mailing address, vital records documentation, toiletries, shower and laundry facilities; lunches; and access to telephone services); and, financial subsidies for rent, security deposits, utilities and prescription assistance and finally; Financial Sustainability programs to include: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, financial counseling and financial education.

Masters Manna

Master's Manna, Inc.'s mission is to help homeless, near homeless, low to moderate income families and individuals obtain essential needs. Master's Manna’s primary goals include: Reducing food insecurity (a condition of uncertain availability of or inability to acquire safe, nutritious food in a socially acceptable manner) Providing intervention, mental and physical health support servicesMaking available vocational and educational opportunities Supporting supervised court ordered community serviceAffording opportunity to the local youth to complete community service hours for scouts, school and/or faith community 

Arcadia Food

The Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture is dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the Washington, D.C. region. We achieve this through a thoughtfully constructed network of programs that add to the supply of quality, fresh food; increase the number of farmers by training military veterans for new careers in agriculture; building demand for quality food through on-farm and in-school experiential education programs; and finally, dismantling the primary barriers to access through our Mobile Markets, which offer fresh, affordable food in neighborhoods passed over by traditional retailers

Society Of St. Vincent De Paul Diocesan Council Of Dallas

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith-based volunteer organization that offers direct aid to those in need across nine counties in North Texas. The Society provides short-term financial, material and emotional support. People are empowered to reach the goal of self-sufficiency through advocacy, education and referrals. Inspired by Gospel values, members grow spiritually through person-to-person service to all in need. Through systemic change, the Society promotes dignity, alleviates suffering and distress, and addresses the conditions that cause the person to need assistance.

Food Gatherers

Food Gatherers' mission is to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in the Washtenaw County community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and non-perishable food, coordinating with other hunger relief providers, and educating the public about hunger and developing new food resources. Food Gatherers also manages and operates a direct service Community Kitchen located in the Delonis Center in downtown Ann Arbor, a Job Training Program in the food service industry to young people at risk of homelessness, and several other community food programs.

US Association for International Migration (USAIM)

The U.S. Association for International Migration (USAIM) is the nonprofit partner of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the United States. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, USAIM seeks to empower migrants. Amplio's durable, low-cost Talking Book audio device and innovative programs amplify the reach of our global partners. Together, we share knowledge with the world’s hardest-to-reach communities, using audio technology to educate and gather feedback from illiterate and low-literacy populations. Our Talking Book programs allow organizations to customize messages, songs, radio dramas, and information in local languages and measure impact. Amplio partners with global and in-country organizations, businesses, and government agencies that work in various sectors, including health, agriculture, gender equity, humanitarian aid, and more.

Food Bank Of Delaware

Our mission is to provide nutritious foods to Delawareans in need and facilitate long-term solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty through community education and advocacy. Indigenous Health Solutions is a trans-disciplinary collective of pioneers driven by a passion for service to the Earth, and the poorest and most remote communities on it. Through the lens of planetary health, where shifts in natural systems are prioritized in examination of human health, experts in conservation, health, anthropology, and business come together with those in need to craft and implement culturally informed and community led solutions for development. Our programs are built upon the foundational principle that development must be indigenous, that is, planned in partnership with those in need and rooted in the place of delivery, reflecting practical awareness of the interconnection between health, conservation, livelihood, and education.

The mission of Bread For Life is to provide food, fellowship and a sense of dignity to those in need.We are a nonprofit 501 c 3 organization that relies on the generosity of our community to help us fulfill our mission that no one goes hungry in our town.Our vision is accomplished by providing meals served daily in our kitchen, delivered within our senior community and also to our home-bound citizens, and to children in the summer.Bread For Life strives to help our clients with their personal needs through referrals to appropriate agencies. American Friends of Leket Israel supports the Israel's largest food bank and food rescue network, Leket Israel.   The organization's primary mission is to alleviate the problem of nutritional insecurity through the rescue and redistribution of excess food to benefit Israel's needy. As an umbrella organization, Leket Israel also work's to assist at-risk population groups and the nonprofit organizations (NPOs) who serve them through nutrition education, cooperative purchasing, food safety, and capacity building projects designed to improve professional standards among NPOs and other food provision agencies.
