Growing Gardens’ mission is to reduce hunger and transform lives through the experience of gardening and growing your own food. We have been working in Oregon for over 20 years. We work with thousands of volunteers to build organic vegetable gardens at homes, schools, and correctional facilities. Our work changes lives.

The Community Center of Northern Westchester seeks to improve the well-being and self-sufficiency of neighbors in need in Northern Westchester by providing equitable access to food, clothing, programs, and other resources; creating positive change through the engagement of organizations and individuals within our community. Seeds in the Middle, named by fourth graders in central Brooklyn, inspires parents, educators, students and their community to access all opportunities beginning with improving their health, enhancing arts education and greening their environment. We are joyful, respectful, educational and engaging. We nurture the whole child. Our innovative strategy to fight obesity and combat health disparities initiates at schools. We weave proven programs into a comprehensive package to turn around ills driving down opportunity and advancement. We empower and educate all to get healthy and scale disparities. Our pilot Hip2B Healthy schools are in central Brooklyn, a neighborhood with one of New York City's highest obesity, diabetes, and heart disease rates. Our programs are models for replication. We have run community farmers markets and founded Soccer for Harmony tournaments, inspiring social change through soccer. We are proud to boast that our focus 4th grade class test scores in 2012 surpassed the citywide average! At Seeds in the Middle, we partner with faculty. We teach how to grow, market, access and prepare nutritious food, how to exercise and engage in the arts, all the elements needed to promote life-changing lifelong health. Our partners come from all walks of life: chefs, athletes, educators, artists, builders and more. We cross cultures. We transform gray into green, destitution into inspiration.

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is the “Food Source” for people in need. Partnering with organizations to advocate for and feed the hungry, we build a community solution to a community problem. By leveraging an abundance of product from a multitude of sources, we "Change the Face of Hunger."  In keeping with this mission, it is our goal to identify opportunities to provide food to those in need in the communities we serve.

Conservation: Create significant and sustainable environmental change, specifically focusing on climate change, water conservation, food security, waste recycling, sustainable energy, preservation of endangered fauna and flora and greening projects that incorporate poverty alleviation and sustainable livelihoods. Education: Increase capacity and expertise of the southern African environment community, by transferring skills, providing mentorship and building supportive networks for the development and sustainability of the environment sector. Innovation: Use modern technology (e.g. GIS) capacity to enhance conservation efforts and to pioneer socio-ecological approaches to protected area management.

It is the MISSION of New Life for Haiti (NLFH) to give children a chance at a future, to meet the urgent needs of families, to foster new economic opportunities and to influence cultural thinking toward a sustainable change within the Grande Anse River Valley on the southern peninsula of Haiti, while acting as the hands and feet of Jesus to bring the life-giving and hopeful message of Christ’s salvation to the Haitian people.

In 1932 Sterling House Community Center was founded to provide a vehicle for the citizens of Stratford and surrounding areas to come together. Sterling House offers a broad range of educational, recreational, and social programs to over ten thousand community members each year. The mission of Sterling House is to foster the physical, social, emotional, artistic and intellectual growth of the communities we serve.
