The mission of Operation Hope is to provide individuals and families the opportunity to experience transformative change. Our programs and services focus on eliminating hunger and homelessness and are designed to help people solve their crises and build stability in an environment in which compassion inspires dignity and hope.

Strengthening our community by creating opportunities that support and inspire women. Founded in 1986 Women’s Opportunity & Resource Development, Inc. (WORD) is one of Missoula’s longest established and most experienced non-profit organizations. Since our founding in 1986, WORD has spearheaded, supported and participated with organizations, agencies and individuals who are committed to building community in Missoula. Vision: At WORD we envision a socially just world where each person is valued and all are empowered to fulfill their potential. We aim to build, through collective action, the socioeconomic, cultural and political conditions that ensure equality, independence and full participation for all. We believe that these conditions are indispensable to the health and sustainability of families, communities and society as a whole. Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and their children. Positive life changes are encouraged through structured programs which focus on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and recovery from substance abuse.

New Avenues for Youth is a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Our services for young people (ages 9-25) focus on the individual—their experiences, identities, needs, and goals—and helping them make positive change in their lives.

The Link works with youth and families to overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice.

The mission of Team Activities for Special Kids is to enrich and nurture the lives of children with special needs by providing opportunities for them to participate in sports, recreation and social activities. These activities help to encourage and develop new skills, as well as promote social interaction and friendships.

Our mission is to make a significant contribution to the community by reducing the number of homeless men, women and children in Washington State. Vision House works to dramatically change the lives of homeless families by providing services that teach self-sufficiency, ultimately empowering our residents to avoid homelessness, poverty and abuse in the future.
