THEIR MISSION "LIFT Orlando exists to break the cycle of poverty through neighborhood revitalization. LIFT is a group of business leaders in the Orlando area, partnering with residents to see change in the area surrounding the Orlando Citrus Bowl. We plan to do this through our four goals of mixed income housing, health and wellness, cradle to career education pipeline, and economic development. We utilize an asset based approach, engaging and working closely with residents in our focus area."

Joseph's House of Camden works collaboratively with others to aid our homeless brothers and sisters by offering a continuum of services including emergency shelter and access to supportive housing and comprehensive social services.

Causa Justa :: Just Cause builds grassroots power and leadership to create strong, equitable communities. Born through mergers between Black organizations and Latino organizations, we build bridges of solidarity between working class communities. Through rights-based services, policy campaigns, civic engagement, and direct action, we improve conditions in our neighborhoods in the san francisco bay area, and contribute to building the larger multi-racial, multi-generational movement needed for fundamental change.

We believe that by creating an environment where people with intellectual and physical disabilities can share their gifts, we are affecting a positive change in the world. We believe that these shared gifts have the power to transform the lives of those who are open to receiving them. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another. We resolve to explore and appreciate the diverse cultures and faith practices within L’Arche and to work together toward a more evolved and caring human society.

The Bethania Foundation, also known as Bethania Kids, is a Christian Mission that is bringing wholeness and hope to orphaned, abandoned, disabled and desperately poor children in India. Bethania Kids provides these children shelter, food, clothing, education, medical services and spiritual care through four residence homes, nine care centers and two rehabilitation centers. The message is simple: Jesus loves children and cares deeply for them regardless of the circumstances of their birth. Through His love, they will change their world.

Since 1948, the Orlando Union Rescue Mission's purpose has been to bring the hungry, hurting and homeless to new life, new goals and a new future in Christ. While providing basic services such as food, clothing and shelter, the Orlando Union Rescue Mission also offers life-changing programs that rebuild lives emotionally and spiritually. This is accomplished through Christian teaching, mentorships and work discipline in order to return formerly homeless men, women and children to a productive and self-sufficient lifestyle.

The mission of the Association for the Children of Regnier Haiti, Inc. (ACR) is to provide comprehensive services designed to meet the emotional, physical, educational and social needs of the children of Regnier in Cayes, Haiti, hence, promoting self-sufficiency.

AS FAITH CALLS US TO MINISTER WITH OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED, ECUMENICAL PARTNERSHIP FOR HOUSING SEEKS THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCIES TO PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES.

In 2016 we answered a call in our local, online newspaper, Next Door, inviting anyone interested to come join a small group who were currently serving coffee and donuts to the homeless population in Venice. Within a few short weeks we saw the great need for so much more. We began to bring hand sanitizers, wipes, tissues, shoes, blankets, tents and whatever else we could supply. We decided we wanted to help on a much more personal level, far beyond dropping off supplies and serving coffee. We chose to see if we could begin to transition the homeless off the streets. It took a tremendous amount of time to build the necessary trust with each person before they slowly began to believe we really were going to help them transition from chronic homelessness into a life with purpose. This is a very long expensive process which requires endless courage, strength, and resilience on the part of the homeless individual trying to change their life. In 2017 we established our I.R.C. 501(c)(3) Hope For The Hearts Of The Homeless, Inc., hopesforhomeless.org. We were making progress and began to witness success, watching those who wanted to change their lives succeed, yet needing a helping hand throughout the entire process. For some it begins with a hospital stay first, for others it’s a drug/alcohol rehab, and for many it is help finding affordable housing. In addition, we assist obtaining eligible benefits for those who qualify. We currently work close to 7 days a week with many days going well into the night. All we do is worth every minute, seeing a once homeless individual blossom into a new life. Once stable, we then assist with job placement for some, going back to school for others, and reconnecting some with their family and friends, once estranged. Please help us help the homeless. You have the chance of a lifetime, an opportunity to change a life…yes, to really change the life of someone once homeless, hurting, and desperate who now is a productive, giving member of society. Thistle Farms is a nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to helping women survivors recover and heal from prostitution, trafficking, and addiction. We do this by providing a safe place to live, a meaningful job, and a lifelong sisterhood of support.
