Providing safe, affordable homes and support for survivors of domestic violence.

The Shoebox Project collects and delivers gifts in-kind to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Gifts are valued at $50 and contain a mixture of basic necessities and little luxuries. A gift from The Shoebox Project helps to reduce social isolation and is an important reminder for a woman living in poverty that despite her circumstances, she remains a valued member of her community. We are currently active in 9 cities across the USA (including New York, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh) and in 35 Canadian cities.

Building from a harm reduction model, The Open Door, Inc. provides supportive housing and related services to improve the health of the forgotten population of high-risk, chronically homeless people living with HIV.

Family House is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing homeless families in crisis with professional, comprehensive housing and social services in a safe, caring environment. Most of the families we serve are from Toledo, however 15% of those served are outside of Ohio. Most homeless shelters around the country segregate family members in shelters. Family House is unique as we keep the family together. Families consist of: married couples with children, unmarried couples with children, single parents and pregnant mothers

RPCAN, d/b/a Alliance for Community Services, is a community-labor coalition of people with disabilities, low income families, immigrants, and direct service workers, promoting dignity for the vulnerable, and the public commitment to human needs like health, education and welfare.

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services - social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness - which significantly improve the lives of 15,000 people in need each year, ages 3 to 103, on the East Side of Manhattan.

Postgraduate Cenetr for Mental Health is dedicated to serve the mental health needs of individuals in the most innovative, effective and efficient way possible. We are an outcome driven organization. School on Wheels of Massachusetts’ (SOWMA) mission is to support the academic, social and emotional growth of students impacted by homelessness. Our vision is for all students to have the support necessary to be successful in school and achieve a productive future that will help end the cycle of homelessness.Our 3 “Pathways to Student Success” (One-on-One Tutoring Program, Bridge Program and Tools for School) give at risk students the opportunity to reach their full potential --- by being a consistent presence in their lives, by building their belief in themselves and by increasing their competencies to succeed in school. Since 2004, SOWMA has tutored 3,200+ students, celebrated 39 college graduations and distributed 31,000+ customized backpacks.

Good Counsel is a nationally recognized nonprofit leader and innovator in creating supportive residential care and community-based services for homeless, expectant, and new mothers and their children in the context of the Catholic social tradition. Pregnant and expectant mothers, with or without other born children, including mothers with mental health or addiction challenges, from any location, are able to receive help in a Good Counsel home.
