The Rona Barrett Foundation, a non-profit organization, seeks to provide a solution to affordable housing and supportive services for seniors in need with the development of the Golden Inn & Village, where seniors may access a variety of care that meets their needs as they age in place.

THE WANDA ALSTON FOUNDATION SERVES AS THE FIRST AND ONLY HOUSING PROGRAM IN WASHINGTON, DC THAT IS SOLELY DEDICATED TO OFFERING PRE-INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES TO HOMELESS LGBTQ YOUTH AGES 16-24. THESE SERIVES INCLUDE: LONG-TERM TRANSTITIONAL LIVING, CASE MANAGEMENT, EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT, JOB TRAINING AND GUIDANCE, AND SUPPORT SERVICE REFERRALS. HOUSE RESIDENTS HAVE THEIR OWN ROOMS AND LIVE WITH AN ADVOCATE WITH EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH HOUSING AND LGBTQ ISSUES. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION OFFERS EACH YOUTH A LIFE SKILLS COUNSELOR WHO WORKS WITH THE RESIDENTS DAILY ON ISSUES RELATING TO EDUCATION/VOCATIONAL TRAINING, HOUSING, AND OTHER MATTERS AS NECESSARY

THE LUTHERAN HOME FOUNDATION, INC. IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT RAISES, STEWARDS AND DISTRIBUTES FUNDS TO SUSTAIN AND ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN MISSION OF THE LUTHERAN HOME, INC. AND HARWOOD PLACE, INC. THE LUTHERAN HOME AND HARWOOD PLACE ARE DEDICATED TO SERVING OLDER ADULTS AND ENRICHING THE LIVES OF THOSE WE TOUCH BY PROVIDING COMPASSIONATE AND LOVING CARE.

Home Roots Foundation is dedicated to improving education access and alleviating poverty in Haiti. We support students by helping pay for tuition, tutoring, and materials. We also teach kids, ages 8-17, English twice a week. For the parents, we have a women's economic empowerment program to help increase income through their microenterprises.

The Bethania Foundation, also known as Bethania Kids, is a Christian Mission that is bringing wholeness and hope to orphaned, abandoned, disabled and desperately poor children in India. Bethania Kids provides these children shelter, food, clothing, education, medical services and spiritual care through four residence homes, nine care centers and two rehabilitation centers. The message is simple: Jesus loves children and cares deeply for them regardless of the circumstances of their birth. Through His love, they will change their world.

HUMANITY HEROES IS A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION THAT GIVES RESOURCES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED AND EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. HUMANITY HEROES' MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE IMPOVERISHED AND HOMELESS PACKAGED INTO ONE BACKPACK EITHER DIRECTLY TO INDIVIDUALS OR BY PARTNERING WITH LOCAL HOMELESS CHARITIES WITH SIMILAR MISSIONS. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO HOLD FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS AND SOLICITATIONS FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, FOUNDATIONS, AND BUSINESSES TO ACCOMPLISH ITS MISSION. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO INTENDS TO BUILD AWARENESS BY DOCUMENTING AND REPORTING OUR ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS USING MULTIMEDIA TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO BROADEN OUR OUTREACH. RECENTLY, HUMANITY HEROES STARTED PROVIDING RELIEF TO COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY NATURAL DISASTERS.

The Moss Foundation's mission is to Motivate, Encourage, and Inspire children in Detroit in three ways: Housing, Education and Residential Treatment Facilities. Motivate (Housing): We want to MOTIVATE current and prospective residents to become homeowners so that our children have stable environments to learn and play in. Encourage (Education): We want to ENCOURAGE our children to become EDUCATED ENTREPRENEURS. We provide annual scholarships to Detroit children who are majoring in business with an interest in entrepreneurship. Inspire (Residential Treatment Facilities): We believe that every Detroit child should have access to mental health Children are truly an Inspiration and we support our children with residential treatment facilities.

The Baron Jay Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) federally tax exempt nonprofit organization that was legally incorporated in 2004. We are committed to promoting health awareness, relationship guidance, employment preparedness arts education, and financial literacy in economically distressed and underserved communities. We host workshops and programs for at-risk youth that prepare them to become responsible, civic-minded, respectful, and productive citizens. We also sponsor free training programs in computer skills training and English literacy to local communities in underdeveloped regions of the world such as West Central Africa. One of our main goals is to increase digital literacy through computer skill development in poverty stricken communities. All of our workshops are designed to give our beneficiaries practical life-skills that promote self-esteem, empathy, stress reduction, anger management, academic improvement, and civic leadership. Mission The Baron Jay Family Foundation is a global nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life of people in living in underserved communities worldwide. Our mission is to motivate and empower economically disadvantaged individuals — especially youth — to become productive and contributing members of society by providing: • Life skills education in healthy habits and harmonious relationships. • Culturally enriching experiences that promote self-esteem, good citizenship, leadership qualities, and empathy for others. • Extracurricular workshops in job preparedness, computer training, and financial literacy to help reduce the achievement gap and the global digital divide.

CRF's mission is to design and deliver culturally-sensitive, client-centered mental health services for adults utilizing a psychosocial rehabilitation philosophy, and culturally-sensitive, family-centered mental health services for children. In addition, CRF conducts scientific research for the prevention and treatment of mental health problems and the rehabilitation of mentally disabled individuals.

Brent’s Place helps those living with cancer by providing housing and programs through partnerships in our community.
