The mission of the Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS) is to reduce poverty among local families and individuals while working to counteract - and whenever possible, eliminate - the societal conditions that cause and perpetuate poverty.

School on Wheels of Massachusetts’ (SOWMA) mission is to support the academic, social and emotional growth of students impacted by homelessness. Our vision is for all students to have the support necessary to be successful in school and achieve a productive future that will help end the cycle of homelessness.Our 3 “Pathways to Student Success” (One-on-One Tutoring Program, Bridge Program and Tools for School) give at risk students the opportunity to reach their full potential --- by being a consistent presence in their lives, by building their belief in themselves and by increasing their competencies to succeed in school. Since 2004, SOWMA has tutored 3,200+ students, celebrated 39 college graduations and distributed 31,000+ customized backpacks.

The Little Sisters of the Poor offer needy elderly persons total quality care in a loving, supportive Home where they are welcomed as family and cared for with dignity and respect until death. Believing that to accompany the elderly on their final journey is the greatest expression of their vow of hospitality, the Little Sisters humbly and prayerfully devote their lives to fulfilling this most sacred aspect of Our Lord's mission of salvation.

Family Promise partners with inter-faith congregations in our community who provide their facilities, volunteers and financial support to assist these families.

Our mission is to affect lasting change in the lives of homeless children and their families in Davie County. We want to share the common love of humanity with others by offering them a “hand up” instead of a “hand out.” Through our efforts together in the community, we will change lives.

The Beacon is a non-profit organization that serves the Houston homeless community through daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring and access to housing. Our mission is to provide essential and next-step services to restore hope and end homelessness in Houston.

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Serving Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, Burt and Cass Counties in Nebraska, Habitat Omaha works to expand quality, affordable homeownership opportunities for families with low-to-moderate incomes, while also improving the safety, appearance and overall value of whole neighborhoods.

“Guiding us in our mission to ease the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children are our Core Values: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I-CARE).” Ronald Mcdonald House Of Scranton enhances its mission by establishing and managing Ronald McDonald Family Room programs in area hospitals that provide a comfortable, homelike environment for our families.

Sparrow's Nest of Northwest Montana is dedicated to ensuring safe, supportive housing and resources for unaccompanied homeless high school students in the Flathead Valley.
