Habitat For Humanity Of The Chesapeake

Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. For 40 years, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake has been a catalyst for moving low-income families out of poverty toward more stable futures through affordable homeownership. We have built 793 homes and settled deserving low-income families into energy-efficient, affordable homes with zero-interest mortgages. Our mission has improved the lives of more than 3,000 partner family members (more than half of whom are children), involved 1,200 volunteers annually, and assisted hundreds of community residents who benefit from safer, more vital communities as homeownership rates increased across twenty neighborhoods in Central Maryland.

As the leading Jewish social services agency in Los Angeles, Jewish Family Service LA is a trusted and critical source of support for the Jewish community. But our work does not stop there. The Jewish tradition teaches us to honor the dignity of every individual, to extend our practice of service and loving kindness for all, and to do our part to help heal the world. Every day, Jewish Family Service LA operates according to these values. It is clear in every service and program we offer for the people of Los Angeles.
