The Philadelphia Project

Founded in 2010, The Philadelphia Project is a Christian non-profit organization committed to the holistic development of the neighboring community in partnership with the local church. We seek to accomplish our mission through the creation of a vibrant, engaging, and safe community center as well as providing service opportunities caring for the homes of the elderly, poor, single-parent and those plagued by hardships.

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Portland, Oregon providing enhanced resident service coordination to residents living in subsidized or affordable housing. We engage vulnerable populations in art, life skills development and recreation to reduce isolation, increase personal resilience and build healthier communities. We deliver programs in the apartment communities in which residents live, removing obstacles of transportation, encouraging neighbor to neighbor support and helping residents to learn, grow and thrive in a supportive environment. From community meals to creative workshops, from safety and wellness classes to individual budgeting assistance, The Giving Tree is dedicated to helping low and fixed income seniors, veterans, people with mental illnesses, physical limitations and developmental disabilities realize their fullest individual potential.

The Bernie House

Mission Statement of The Bernie House: The Bernie House offers survivors a longer-term housing solution and provides additional services to further those received in a domestic violence shelter. The longer periods of time offered, which can last up to two years, and access to services like counseling, and case management, fill a large gap between crisis intervention and stability. With the goal of transitioning families into stable housing and improved financial stability, The Bernie House provides an opportunity for victims to secure a job, go to school, become economically stable, and achieve a safe and healthy return to their community. Giving the opportunity to heal and time to move onto permanent housing

The Farmer's House

Our mission is to embrace, enhance and support the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities (our Farmers). We strive to help each Farmer increase their self-reliance, have positive social interactions and develop the skills they need to achieve their individual goals. Our vision is to provide  A Place Where Exceptional Farmers Live, Work, Play and Grow! A positive supportive environment is the foundation of our programs which focus on the development and retention of life, vocational and social skills for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).  Maximizing employment skills, self-sufficiency and independence are critical to enabling individuals with ID/DD to meet their basic needs. 

The Inn Between

The INN Between is ending the tragic history of people dying on the streets of our community, by providing end-of-life care and medical respite for people experiencing homelessness.

Waking The Village

Waking the Village's mission is to offer 18 months of housing and support so that Sacramento County's homeless, parenting or pregnant youth and their children can get busy living rather than surviving. Through Tubman House, young parents (18 to 21 years old) experience healthy living, intensive case management, parent coaching and educational support so that they leave prepared to be leaders in their own lives, and leaders in the lives of their children and communities. In exchange for housing, child care, and wrap around support, Tubman residents lead Youth Corps, growing as leaders as they govern Tubman and spearhead projects to build up their community.

The People Concern

The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. One of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, The People Concern was formed in 2016 in a merger of two trusted social service organizations based in Los Angeles County, OPCC and Lamp Community. Informed by more than fifty years of work in the community, The People Concern is a leading provider of, and advocate for, evidence-based solutions to the multi-faceted challenges inherent in homelessness and domestic violence. With compassion and profound respect for those we serve, we provide a fully integrated system of care – including outreach, interim housing, mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, domestic violence services, lifeskills & wellness programs, and permanent supportive housing – tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth, and others who have nowhere else to turn. The People Concern’s model of integrated and comprehensive care empowers our participants to navigate the multi-faceted obstacles in their lives, become their best selves, and ultimately, connect with and contribute to their communities.

The Gathering Inn

The Gathering Inn's mission is to meet people where they are, inspire hope, and walk alongside them on their journey to sustainable housing. In its 19th year of operation, TGI offers a complete continuum of housing and supportive services for homeless individuals: emergency housing; medical respite care; permanent supportive housing; external housing placement; comprehensive support services; education and training; and aftercare follow-up. Not only does The Gathering Inn exist to fulfill the original mission and vision of our founders, but it also builds on that foundation by expanding services that address barriers to housing. The lives of TGI guests are transformed by inspiring self-sufficiency and inviting them to achieve sustainable housing.
