The mission of the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. is to help people resolve their disputes effectively, expeditiously, and with compassion and respect.

Founded in 1989, the Pacific Autism Center for Education's mission is "to enhance the lives of people impacted by autism, through innovation, exceptional education and compassionate care."

The Lowell Transitional Living Center provides the most vulnerable adults in the community with food, shelter, stability and dignity. We provide programs and services that meet immediate needs for emergency shelter and food, along with case management, and other help that enable those we serve to make the transition from a shelter bed to a permanent place to call home.

The Mission of the Chinatown Community Development Center is to build community and enhance the quality of life for San Francisco residents. We are a place-based community development organization serving primarily the Chinatown neighborhood, and also serve other areas including North Beach and the Tenderloin. We are a community development organization with many roles - as neighborhood advocates, organizers and planners, and as developers and managers of affordable housing. We believe in a comprehensive vision of community, a quality environment, a healthy neighborhood economy, and active voluntary associations. We are committed to the empowerment of low-income residents, diversity and coalition building, and social and economic justice.

“Transform families by providing help, hope, and healing for mothers and their children to live responsible drug-free lives.” Created from the vision of a small group of women in the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale in 1995, The Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has grown from one group home, housing five mothers and six children, to a beautiful 5.5 acre campus in Pembroke Pines with the capacity to serve over sixty families. In addition, through satellite campuses, we are increasing our capacity to serve many more. Our ultimate goals are the removal of barriers for women entering addiction treatment, the prevention of foster care placement for their children, and an end to the cycle of addiction and abuse for families. Since we began in 1995, Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has helped to reunify over 850 families and has provided the intensive services necessary to stop the cycle of family dysfunction and substance addiction for over 1500 children. One of the largest barriers to entry for mothers seeking treatment is child placement. At the center we focus on supporting both the mother and child(ren). We reduce or eliminate family risk factors by promoting a positive sense of self, delivering individual and group counseling services, providing peer group activities, maintaining well defined structure and offering many opportunities for support. Most importantly, we strive to stop the cycle of addiction by providing the most important protective factor of all, a healthy parent intervening on behalf of the child(ren) during their early development. For nearly 20 years we have done amazing work. Yet, prescription pain killers and heroin use is on the rise, despite the efforts of many. The negative effects to our community are compounded when the addict is a mother and her children are at risk of neglect and abuse. Often, children who are prenatally exposed to drugs or alcohol are also at a high risk for emotional and behavioral challenges. Without intervention, these children are much more likely to become addicts themselves, some in their early teens.

Tumbleweed is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 to help homeless and forgotten youth in our community to grow and thrive. In 1975, the open hands program began offering shelter and counseling for youth in crisis. We now have a dozen programs that provide a full range of services.

CARECEN was founded in 1981 to protect the rights of refugees arriving from conflict in Central America and to help ease their transition. CARECEN’s mission is to foster the comprehensive development of the Latino population/ community in the Washington metropolitan region by providing direct service, while promoting grassroots empowerment, civic engagement and human rights advocacy.Inspired by Central American justice struggles, CARECEN envisions a Washington metropolitan region where all communities thrive in solidarity and dignity, enjoy a prosperous life, and work towards achieving social justice and political empowerment.

Shelterhouse is a community of shelter residents, staff and volunteers working together to provide basic human services for men and women experiencing homelessness with a primary commitment to shelter.
