Alabama Veteran is a registered 501c(3) organization with the goal of creating opportunities for Veterans and current military members to remain engaged and working towards reaching their full potential. We try to enrich their life by promoting the spirit of camaraderie through social, fitness, outdoor recreation and through curating a network of providers who each deliver specialized services in accordance with our service men and women’s individual needs.

ASMBA STAR Foundation

The mission of the ASMBA STAR Foundation is to improve the quality of life of the military service member, wounded warriors, veterans and their families by contributing to those financial, educational, social, employment and medical needs unmet by the U.S. Government. The ASMBA STAR Foundation attempts to identify and respond to the military and veteran community needs by: o Cultivating and maintaining effective partnerships with individuals, businesses, government, and other veterans organizations; and o Communicating with the military service member, veterans, and their families to better identify those needs

Florida Veterans Foundation

The Florida Veterans Foundation serves, supports, and advocates for Florida veterans to improve their well being. The Florida Veterans Foundation: Serves Florida veterans and their families by providing direct services and partnering with state and local governments, veteran service organizations, and educational institutions to improve their physical, financial, mental, emotional, and social well being; Supports the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs’ mission of advocacy; and, Advocates for Florida veterans by educating the public and governmental entities to increase awareness on veteran-related issues.

Women Veterans Of New Mexico

Women Veterans of New Mexcio is dedicated to "Serving She Who Served" through education and advocacy. - We provide information, resources and support to New Mexico Women Veterans, including homeless women veterans. - We ensure government agencies are responsive to gender specific needs of women veterans. - Provide collaborative forum to learn and discuss challenges unique to women veterans. - Provide social events for women veterans to enhance camaraderie. - Conduct out reach and fund raise in support of our mission.

New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans

The Mission of the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans is to extend a helping hand to homeless veterans who have served the United States honorably in peace and war who are addressing the challenges of addiction, trauma, severe and persistant mental illness, and/or unemployment. And, who will commit themselves to sobriety, non-violence, and working for personal change; to offer homeless veterans temporary, save overnight accomodation and basic nutrition; to offer in a fiscally sound manner effective longer term programs which best meet the veteran's transition needs, utilizing the full range of government, foundation grants and private contributions; to refer veterans to other public and private institutions through a network of service providers who can meet their needs, not duplicating what others can do better; to create and operate housing for veterans as an important solution to homelessness; and to one day become recognized as the most effective private veteran's transition program in the country.

Warrior Canine Connection

Warrior Canine Connection is a pioneering organization that utilizes clinically based Canine Connection Therapy to empower returning combat Veterans who have sustained physical and psychological wounds while in service to our country. Based on the concept of Warriors helping Warriors, WCC's therapeutic service dog training program is designed to mitigate symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries, while giving recovering Service Members and Veterans a sense of purpose, help in reintegrating back into their families and communities, and a potential career path as a service dog trainer. The program also produces highly skilled Warrior-trained service dogs that will provide years of mobility and social support to Veterans with disabilities.

Yellow Ribbon Fund

Founded in 2005, the mission of Yellow Ribbon Fund is to provide support to severely wounded, injured or ill American service members, their caregivers, and families during lengthy medical recovery and reintegration into civilian life. Our Crossroads Program provides assistance to active duty and disabled service members and their families through lodging, temporary housing, local transportantion, and other support while the service member or veteran is receiving medical treatment away from home at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, MD. Our Keystone Program follows the service member and family back to their hometown to provide support, encouragement, and bonding with military families with similar medical issues. The program provides wellness, educational, fitness, and social programs to aid the healing process and strengthen the family. Retreats provide respite from the daily grind of coping with medical issues. Our recipients rely on our donors to relieve the huge financial burden caused by temporay stays in the Bethesda area for treatment and to help build a local community of compatriots in their hometown.

That simple statement is clear, but also full of energy, excitement, hard work, determination and proven results that we apply to the fullest extent. We believe our own history of military and veteran related service and proven commitment to others every day gives those simple, eight words the most effective and resourceful meaning imaginable. Through our Us for Warriors supporting programs, helping hand deeds, inspiring events and advocacy, we believe that the key to making lives of fellow veterans better is to focus on the "whole veteran" and find ways to engage a community to fill the gaps and make a difference to enrich the lives of veterans and their families.
