Travis Mills Foundation

The Travis Mills Foundation supports post 9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. We support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses paid, barrier-free vacation in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors.

National Veterans Foundation

The National Veterans Foundation (NVF) was founded in 1985 to help veterans streamline the process of accessing help for the myriad of needs they face, and to help broaden public understanding of these needs--including crisis/PTSD counseling, medical treatment, legal aid, VA benefits assistance, food, shelter, education, employment training, homelessness services, and substance abuse treatment. The NVF operates the Nation's only live, toll-free crisis management, information, and referral helpline (1-888-777-4443; vetsupport@nvf.org) for all veterans and their families; coordinates Public Awareness Programs designed to increase awareness and understanding about the effects of war and human needs of Americas veterans; and conducts ongoing outreach programs that provide veterans and families in need with food, clothing, transportation, employment, and other essential resources.

Building Homes for Heroes

Building Homes for Heroes is strongly committed to supporting the brave men and women of the military who have returned home from the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan with severe wounds and disabilities, with a goal to build homes for families in dire need. It's our honor to support the men and women who have loyally and courageously served our country. Since 2006, Building Homes for Heroes has been at the forefront of making a significant difference in the lives of the severely wounded men and women of the military forces of the United States. We build homes from the ground up or modify existing homes to meet the needs of the brave men and women who selflessly served our country. These mortgage-free homes not only help to remove the family's financial burden, they help to restore the individual's freedom, and enable the veteran to lead a more independent and productive civilian life.

Friends Of The Vet Center

Our mission is to help everyone who served, their families and caregivers, have their best possible life after serving our Country. With your contribution, we are able to reach more and more vets, hopefully helping to lower the 28 suicides a day, decrease addiction, and so much more. After all, they volunteered to risk their lives for ours, shouldn’t we help them reacclimate to civilian life as best as possible after their service? Since 2016 KAV has been working hard to reach as many people as possible to make them aware of over 90 issues that may be hampering them. We help them gain a better understanding of those issues, as well as how and where to get help. The heart of our Free service is our website, www.KnowAVet.org where, in addition to being able to understand each issue (including hundreds of videos), they can search to find both government and vetted private services for each issue, by zip code. For those who are overwhelmed by all the options, we have live Champions. We do not make decisions for them, but rather guide them through the process of making their own choices and setting their own priorities, before using a zip code locator. We appreciate each and every one of our donors. We wouldn’t be where we are without your support, with an average of 1,800 visitors to our site per week and 1,400+ subscribers to our Free e-newsletter achieving a consistent 40% open rate. Because we are a virtual charity, our overhead is less than $1,000 per month, so almost all of your donation will go toward program implementation. If you have questions about how your gift is being used, or want information on volunteer opportunities, please don’t hesitate to contact me 24/7/365. My cell is 848.300.2170.

Honor Flight Southland

HONOR FLIGHT SOUTHLAND IS A 501(C) (3) NON-PROFIT 100% VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION CREATED SOLELY TO HONOR AMERICA’S VETERANS FOR ALL THEIR SACRIFICES. WE SAFELY TRANSPORT OUR HEROES TO WASHINGTON DC TO VISIT AND REFLECT AT THEIR MEMORIALS. TOP PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO THE SENIOR VETERANS – WORLD WAR II SURVIVORS, ALONG WITH THOSE OTHERS WHO MAY BE TERMINALLY ILL. OF ALL THE WARS IN RECENT MEMORY, IT WAS WWII THAT TRULY THREATENED OUR VERY EXISTENCE AS A NATION – AND AS A CULTURALLY DIVERSE, FREE SOCIETY. ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS, AN ESTIMATED 860 WWII VETERANS DIE EACH DAY. IN 2015, OUR YOUNGEST WWII VETERAN IS 87 YEARS OLD, MOST ARE WELL INTO THEIR 90’S. OUR TIME TO EXPRESS OUR THANKS TO THESE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN IS RUNNING OUT. HONOR FLIGHT SOUTHLAND IS OUR WAY OF PAYING A SMALL TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO GAVE SO MUCH – A MEMORABLE, SAFE AND REWARDING TOUR OF HONOR!Honor Flight Southland was created for the veterans located in the Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties. Our tours in Washington DC consist of 3 days and include roundtrip airfare, accomodations and meals provided to our veterans. It costs approximately $2,000.00 to take one veteran back to DC. Our first trip is in June and we will be taking 20 veterans. We are currently fundraising for our next trip which is October 23-25, 2015. On this tour, we plan to take between 75-80 veterans. We are an accredited charity. Your donation will help transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit THEIR memorials. Our top priority is our nation's most senior heroes. World War II veterans waited patiently for over 65 years for a memorial that recognizes their service and accomplishments. The World War II Memorial also recognizes the ultimate sacrifices of their friends who never made it home. Similarly, Korean and Vietnam Veterans have been waiting for years to see their memorial as well. They ALL deserve this one last opportunity to visit America's "Thank You." Tours are simply not possible without public support. Prior to Honor Flight Network, our veterans had given up all hope of ever seeing their Memorials. Now they have hope… but time is not on our side. The time to act is NOW!In another 5-7 years almost all of our World War II veterans will be gone. This tour is their "last hurrah" - the last time they will be recognized as the conquering victors that collectively and literally saved the world. To this day most of Europe is free, most of the Pacific is free and America is free. This freedom came at a very high cost. We can never repay them for what they've done. An “Honor Flight Tour” is simply a small token of our appreciation for everything they've done. Throughout their Honor Flight Network tour, the Veterans are thanked, recognized and admired for their service. They come home personally knowing how much their country loves them and respects them. Veterans will never forget this gratitude and adoration. Please help us rewrite this final chapter of their lives. Our American Veterans deserve nothing less. Equal priority is given to any terminally ill veteran who has never visited their Memorials. If America thought it was important to build a memorial to their service and sacrifice, Honor Flight Network believes it's important for them to visit their memorial before it's too late.If you are a veteran or know a veteran that would be interested in going one of our trips, please visit our website at www.honorflightsouthland.org to fill out the application. We would love to have you join us on a future trip. We are also accepting applications for guardians to accompany and help chaperon the veterans while we travel across the country to see their memorials. Please contact us with any questions regarding these applications.

Big Sky Bravery Foundation

Their mission: "TRUST IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR PROGRAM. WITHOUT IT, WE HAVE NOTHING." Big Sky Bravery is founded on the belief that we owe a debt of gratitude to the members of our military’s active duty special operations forces. As elite military members, these individuals risk their lives to protect us. They do so under the radar and out of the spotlight. It is because of their selflessness and bravery that we are able to enjoy living in a safe and free America. To help show our gratitude, our primarily civilian-based organization is dedicated to providing these elite individuals with post-deployment decompression programs in Montana’s restorative surroundings. Our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of these elite military members by building trust, brotherhood and friendships at this critical time in their lives as a means to improve their psychological and emotional wellbeing.
