Missionary Oblates Of Mary Immaculate Southern Province

"We tend to the spiritual and physical needs of the poor and abandoned. What makes our work unique from other organizations, though, is we work with the community to make it sustainable. Then we move onto the next mission that needs our help."

Temple Beth El of Northern Valley

Temple Beth El is a lively and active Reform Congregation of approximately 350 households serving the entire Northern Valley of New Jersey and beyond. We are a warm and inviting Jewish gathering place for congregants of all ages - from the youngest nursery school children and their families, to the elders who founded our congregation in the early 1950's, and everyone in-between. At Beth El, we embrace each individual as they travel on the Jewish journey. We balance the richness of Jewish tradition with an appreciation of the gifts of modernity. We welcome Jews of all backgrounds, encouraging all to learn, discover, and explore new areas of Jewish living as they deepen their relationship with God and the Jewish people. We believe that every Jew has something to offer to the community, and the temple has something to offer to every Jew. We encourage young families to lay the foundation for a Jewish life by reconnecting or deepening their Jewish identity through early temple affiliation. We encourage those with school age children to learn along with their children and be models of active Jewish living. We rely on our established members to provide vision and leadership while strengthening their Judaism with ongoing learning and worship. Our doors are open to all, and dues adjustments are made confidentially based on financial abilities.

Barre Center for Buddhist Studies

Barre Center for Buddhist Studies is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to exploring Buddhist thought and practice as a living tradition, faithful to its origins, yet adaptable to the current world. The center provides a bridge between study and practice, between scholarly understanding and meditative insight. It encourages engagement with the tradition in a spirit of genuine inquiry. BCBS offers a variety of courses, workshops, retreats, and self-study programs to further research, study, and practice. Our programming is rooted in the classical Buddhist tradition of the earliest teachings and practices, but calls for dialogue with other schools of Buddhism and with other academic fields. All courses support both silent meditation practice and conscious investigation of the teachings.

Faith Matters

Interfaith Voices is an independent public radio show fostering interfaith understanding by providing engaging conversation about religion, across many traditions and beliefs. We explore how faith intersects with culture, public policy, and the news of the day. As the nation's only public radio show exclusively about religion, we are a vital source of knowledge about how religious belief shapes our world. We were born just three days after 9/11, when a feisty nun got the idea to host a multi-faith panel on religion and terrorism, live on the radio. The phones rang off the hook, and it became clear that listeners were hungry for informed, respectful dialogue on religion in the public square. We carry on that mission today with our weekly show...led by that same unstoppable nun-turned-radio host, Maureen Fiedler.
