William Penn House - * Is a Quaker center for exploring and making visible the Quaker Testimonies of peace, community, simplicity, equality and truth, * Nurtures and celebrates those who "Speak Truth to Power" in pursuit of peace and social justice * Has a special ministry to youth * Connects visitors from the United States and around the world with the service and witness resources of Washington D.C. * Serves as a communication center for Friends' meetings in the Washington area * Is a hospitality center on Capitol Hill that can provide lodging for up to 30 people, and rooted and grounded in Quaker faith and practice.

Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society

Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society was founded by Noah Levine, author of Dharma Punx, Against the Stream, The Heart of the Revolution, and Refuge Recovery to make the teachings of the Buddha available to all who are interested. We wish to create and sustain communities of healthy, accountable, wise and compassionate people from every walk of life. We welcome people from all racial, economic, sexual, social, political and religious backgrounds and believe that the path of awakening is attainable by all and should be available to all. We strive to create a safe environment for all who come to practice.

FARRR Foundation

We are a faith based non-profit 501-(c)3 ministry of FARRR Foundation, and a Trauma Informed Care organization serving communities since 2008. Our mission is to show the Love of Christ to others by serving in practical ways, and provide a dignified environment for spiritual growth. We aim to educate our communities about the impact of trauma on clients, coworkers, friends, family, and even ourselves. Understanding the impact of trauma is an important first step in becoming a compassionate and supportive community. We currently provide a range of wrap around supportive services; such as: * Open daily as a Day Shelter w/ a Clothing Closet * Coffee Bar with light snacks and water * Daily Devotions & Christian Nurture * Hot Buffet Lunch * Bi-weekly Food Pantry and haircuts are provided for free from a professional cosmetologist. * Bikes for Individuals w/ Transportation Needs * Prison Ministry * Facilitating Resources for Ex-Offenders * Workforce Development ALSO.... * FREEDOM CELEBRATION: The 2nd Tuesday at 7:00pm, dinner is provided for individuals and/or family members that have been affected by incarceration. * LIGHT CHANGE TOKENS: A cooperative effort of Warm Streets and Church of the Good Shepherd designed to meet some of the basic needs of the most vulnerable among us (i.e. homeless and nearly homeless). Compassionate donors sponsor tokens that can be spent as spare change at local businesses and restaurants. * THE REDEMPTION GROUP: Every Wednesday at 6:30pm, faith-based support group for individuals with hurts, habits, hang-ups and addictions. *50 SHADES OF RED, EVERY WOMAN HAS A STORY: Women’s ministry that encourages, empowers, and embraces women in healing and restoration. * LIGHTHOUSE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP: Sundays from 10:00 am – 12:30pm, we gather like the early church for worship, fellowship, sharing testimonies along with learning from the Word of God. Lunch is served after fellowship. * LIGHTHOUSE KIDS: Cooperative Kids Ministry with other churches and non-profits that host planned events throughout the week for students, ages 5 – 15 encompassing a Christ-centered curriculum. * ABIGAIL HOUSE: Anti-Human Trafficking Ministry of The Lighthouse, Abigail House is the only transitional housing facility for women in rescue in the region. It serves women that have been victims of sex trafficking.

Nair Service Society

Nair Service Society is a non-political, non-profit, community, cultural, and charitable organization in order to create better understanding among its members and others and to enhance their social and cultural life based on the traditional ways of life and values of the NAIR community in particular, and to assist members and public in need by arranging family and marriage counseling, child welfare, child guidance, aging service and emergency financial assistance. Create and promote women and youth activities to develop and promote leadership qualities. Provide intellectual and economic assistance, upon availability of resources, to needy all over the world.

Muslim Community Support Services Inc

About MCSS founded in 2000, Muslim Community Support Services, inc. (MCSS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, exclusively organized to be a charitable community support services organization primarily to the Muslim community, and when resources allow to the community at large, in and around Austin, Texas. Lend a helping hand to the needy, the refugees, and the victims of domestic violence in the community, until they achieve financial independence (assistance includes but is not limited to financial, educational, medical and social services). In addition to being a resource and support center, build bridges between the Muslim and general Austin community, by initiating and sustaining open communication.

Brendah's Hope

Brendah’s Hope will be an excellent provider of spiritual/moral, social, health, education, economic, and basic needs in support of orphans and other vulnerable children in 3rd world countries, and to provide them a stable living arrangement that fosters autonomy. We are currently working closely with SPCF Children's Home, located in Uganda. There are little resources, little funding to sustain it, and very limited man-power to run it. Because of the challenges that SPCF and other "orphanages" like it are facing, and what the challenges entail - starving children with no education, poor health, and no basic needs being met, Brendah's Hope was created in 2016.

TVCJ provides a welcoming home for those whose connection to the Jewish people is through family, culture and history. We are a Secular Humanistic community affiliated with Cultural and Secular Jewish Organization (csjo.org) We believe that Judaism is the creation of the Jewish people. All generations are responsible for carrying it forward and adding to it. We believe that only natural forces and human beings are responsible for what happens in this world. People have the responsibility and ability to solve human problems through striving for equality, social justice and peace. We believe in the equality and dignity of every human being, and in the power of community.

Root Of Jesse

Root of Jesse Inc. is a non-profit corporation and the period of it duration has been 19 years. It has been in good standing as a 501c non-profit with the IRS for these 19 years. Prior to the incorporation of Root of Jesse Inc., this ministry was operating as “God is in His Temple” from 1991 until May 1996. Root of Jesse Inc. was originally established and incorporated in Texas. Since that time this Ministry has established facilities in New York, Nebraska, Delaware, and Maryland areas in the United States. This Ministry has reached out and influence areas in Europe, numerous islands in the Philippines, Iceland, and established an outreach ministry in South Port, Jamaican while ministering in other areas there since the early 90’s. Root of Jesse Inc. has numerous ministers of the five-fold ministry working as volunteers across the United States. In some places there are as few as 2-3 and in others as many as 10-15 team members working to fulfill its mandate. The mission of Root of Jesse Inc. is to assist the government with the growing dilemma of recidivism by empowering inmates around the US with self and community awareness by teaching, living, and instructing each one of them to “pay it forward”. The vision of Root of Jesse Inc. is to create well grounded team members who understand why recidivism occur so frequently within our penal system by teaching them the basic needs of individuals, equipping them with tools to instruct and lead groups in getting those needs meet though programs there at the facility and programs offered by ROJ. Root of Jesse Inc. goal is to make each encounter with these individual so positive that change is birth within their mindset and desire for growth and understanding begins to become a priority for their live. It is the goals of the Ministry to meet social, health (both mental and spiritual), assist with economic needs through entrepreneur programs, assist with transitional housing, parenting classes, as such like tools that will allow the stability from the support systems therefore empowering them to be successful individual who are an asset to their family, community, and country.

Baitulmal America is a hub of social services that enhance the lifestyles of members of the community at large. Baitulmal America, Inc. offers a modern solution to today's problems. We strive to assist our communities by focusing on at-risk populations. Our target audiences are individuals and families that suffer from hunger, homelessness, and unemployment. The essence of the organization is the effective operation of a communal support system that improves the quality of life in the areas of education, social services, entrepreneurship, and family cohesiveness. This concept of unification and cultural reinforcement are key components to expressing the purification of Islamic life and an ideal reflection of the cultural influence that it intends to have interwoven into American society. The current flow of the organization is filled with passion and motivation to organize, execute, and forward the agenda of the organization. Its board is actively engaging the concepts and strategic planning established to mobilize the activities that can be implemented considering the communal restrictions that have been imposed on society through its biological and socio-political complications. Now, more than ever, the essence of the services that Baitulmal America currently and intends to provide is a necessity to restore harmony, synergy, and common unity (community). The organization has an opportunity to demonstrate their pure intent and commitment to strengthening the state of the family unit and its effect on its subsequent generations. By focusing on the operational execution of the organization’s activities and bringing order to its strategic implementation, Baitulmal America is on its way to making its vision a reality.
