Meals on Wheels Association of Staten Island, was founded in 1972 and provides two meals daily, one hot and one chilled, each meeting one-third recommended dietary requirement (RDA) delivered to older adults who are unable to cook or shop for themselves, are homebound, disabled, frail, or at risk. These services significantly improve the quality of life and health of the individuals they serve and prevent or postpone early institutionalization. Meals are prepared responsive to most individual health related dietary requirements. The daily delivery by staff or volunteers provides direct contact which is just as important as the meals that are delivered as it reduces a sense of isolation and supports a sense of security and well-being.

The Mission of Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa is to preserve the dignity and independence of homebound elderly and disabled persons by providing them with nutritious home-delivered meals, caring contacts, and other services which enrich their lives.

To enable people to live with dignity and independence by offering community support through nutritious meals and coordinated services that improve well-being.This program serves all 41 cities located within the boundaries of Tarrant County, Texas. The largest city is Fort Worth.

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland's charitable mission is to enable people to live independently at home through the provision of nutritious meals, personal contact and related services. By providing nutritious, home-delivered meals, personalized education and support services, and in-home care management, MOWCM impacts social, behavioral and environmental determinants of health resulting from isolation and poverty.

Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County, Inc. (VHS) has been helping Hudson County families with their home care needs since 1959. Due to the ever increasing demand to stop and prevent child abuse, VHS is going Beyond Home Care by focusing on the expansion of the Family Services Department. CVAS is a no kill 501 c3 shelter for the surrendered, neglected, and abandoned animals of Stevens County, WA. While relying entirely upon donations and volunteers, our goal is to bring awareness to the community about animal welfare and the importance of spay and neuter while also providing and maintaining adequate care for our animals.
