Drive a Senior Southwest

Drive a Senior Southwest enriches lives by providing volunteer-based transportation, friendship, and other services at no cost to non-driving seniors helping them to maintain an independent lifestyle. Healthy Aging In Place. That’s what Drive a Senior Southwest is all about. The greater Austin area has one of the fastest growing populations of adults over 65 in the U.S. and many of those older adults no longer drive. With your help, in 2017 Drive a Senior Southwest will help over 200 seniors in southwest Austin and Travis County to continue living independently by providing over 5,000 free rides and help with minor home repairs and yard work. We drive seniors to their medical and wellness appointments and, just as important, to other commitments and activities that are vital for their well-being.

Palliative And Supportive Care Of Nantucket Foundation

Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket Foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness and educating the community about palliative and supportive care issues as well as to funding all of the Palliative & Supportive Care Program's services and initiatives, all of which are provided to the community free-of-charge.

The Love Kitchen

The Love Kitchen provides services to the "5-H's": the hungry, the homeless, the helpless, the hopeless, and the homebound. Each week, we provide free lunches, and deliver approximately 2100 meals per week to the elderly, disabled, and homebound, and provide free canned goods, produce, and other important food staples and supplies to anyone who is in need. The Love Kitchen is 100% funded through private donations. No government grants or funds are solicited nor accepted by the organization. We strive to help our recipients break the multi-generational dependence on government handouts. To accept them ourselves would be hypocritical and setting a bad example for those we are trying to help.

Meals On Wheels Of West Los Angeles

Meals on Wheels of West Los Angeles is dedicated to the following: helping the disabled, aged and chronically or temporarily ill by providing nourshing food at a nominal cost during a period of need, assuring a friendly interest and a helping hand so that people can remain self-sufficient in their own homes, and receiving and collecting funds to be used for those purposes.

Global Business Incubation

We are committed to preserving the history of the American Civil Rights Movement and to educating new generations about the sacrifices made by those who lived and acted during this critical time in American history. • The Boynton House Initiative In June of 2009, we purchased the previous home of Sam and Amelia Boynton, in Selma, Alabama, from the National Voting Rights Museum. This property, listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage, holds a very important place in the history of the civil rights movement. It is our goal to restore this property to its original historic state, and to engage the local community by opening a unique museum at its location.

The mission of Beechwood is to provide a high level of care designed to improve the quality of life for residents of the home. The mission is accomplished by: Promoting resident’s independence and rehabilitation in a comfortable, enjoyable, family-like home, with personalized services that foster hope and mutual support. Offering – as a non-profit, philanthropic, non-sectarian, skilled nursing home –specialized, extensive, long term health services to male and female adults of every race, creed, national origin, and economic status who have incurable, chronic, and disabling neurologic conditions. Providing for the needs of the whole person through resident oriented services such as: physical therapy, quality meal service and a full range of social, cultural, religious, and recreational activities.

The Parmenter Foundation

The Parmenter Foundation provides hope and support for our community members who are grieving or in need of compassionate end-of-life care. We provide funding for nonprofit organizations that deliver high quality, innovative palliative care, and bereavement programs, and we offer educational and inspirational resources that help our neighbors navigate through the challenging grief process. The Parmenter Foundation is committed to helping MetroWest Boston families build resiliency and facilitate their journeys toward healing

Wheels Of Success

Wheels of Success helps keep working people working so that they are able to support themselves and provide for their families. Throughout ten years of community support, Wheels of Success has provided over 1000 transportation related services, including over 500 vehicles to Tampa Bay area families. Our goal is to raise funds to get more families on the road by providing vehicles to applicants who have been “waiting for wheels” and to help others by paying for needed repairs to vehicles they already own.

ChildServe Foundation

ChildServe is a not-for-profit organization that partners with families to help children with special health care needs live a great life. Originally founded in 1928 as a convalescent home for children, today ChildServe provides specialized pediatric health care services to more than 2,000 children in Iowa. Through the support of private insurance, public funds, and the philanthropic efforts of the ChildServe Foundation, ChildServe offers accessible, family-centered care unique to each child’s needs, hopes, and dreams.
