Family-to-Family, Inc. is a grassroots nonprofit 501(c)(3) hunger and poverty relief organization dedicated to providing food, personal hygiene products and other basic life essentials to American families struggling with the challenges of poverty. By connecting donors one-to-one with specific families in need, family-to-family’s mission is to bring a large and seemingly intractable problem – poverty – into personal focus, making proactive, attainable results possible…one family at a time.

Providing “Nutrition Therapy for Cancer Survivors” and those with degenerative diseases. We operate under the premise that humanity can heal itself of many ills when we begin with a foundation of nutrition and compassion.

Common Ground Cooperative (CGC) provides individualized services and education to children, families, and communities in need of academic and social-emotional support with a foundation in behavior analysis. We value each family and community's distinct views, ethics, and treatment preferences, and vow to operate with respect and socially valid treatment for each client.

Chief Seattle Club's mission statement is to provide a sacred space to nurture, affirm, and renew the spirit of Urban Native Peoples. Founded in 1970, the Club is a day center for homeless/low-income Native Americans in Seattle, Washington. Seven days a week, 364 days a year, 100~ members come to the Club for basic needs such as hot meals, showers, and laundry services. We gain their trust and act as a gateway to a broad range of coordinated social services, including health care; mental health; housing assistance; legal aid; access to benefits; substance abuse intake and referrals; cultural, art, and spiritual activities. We partner with a variety of non-profit and government agencies to leverage coordinated on-site services to our members.

The mission of Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care is to bring expert care, peace of mind, comfort, guidance, and hope to people who are affected by life-limiting illness or by grief. Afrika Tikkun was founded in 1994 soon after the emergence of Democracy in South Africa. Our visionary founders-- the late Chief Rabbi Cyril Harris and philanthropist and businessman, late Bertie Lubner-- had a vision of focusing on children knowing they represented the future of the country, which inspired the-then President Nelson Mandela to volunteer as our Patron-in-Chief-- an honor that he only bestowed on four organizations during his lifetime. In 2002 he wrote: “Afrika Tikkun demonstrates in a practical and sustainable manner what can be done with limited resources, great commitment and passion. It is my belief that Afrika Tikkun represents the best of what civil society can offer in partnership with Government’s considerable efforts.” For the last 22 years, Afrika Tikkun has worked to redress the consequences of institutionalized oppression in South Africa. Our unique Cradle-to-Career development model enables our 550+ employees to deliver services addressing holistic educational, medical and economic needs of marginalized youth from early infancy through adulthood, inspiring and enabling them to become productive citizens and leaders. After a survey found over 50,000 widows of career enlisted Air Force personnel lived in poverty, the Air Force Enlisted Men's, Widows and Dependents Home Foundation was incorporated in 1971. Teresa Village, an apartment complex located in Fort Walton Beach, FL was purchased in 1975, providing the first housing for enlisted widows. Construction of Bob Hope Village was completed in 1988. Between the two villages, we have the capability to house and provide services for 450 resident in independent living apartments. A reflection of our growing and evolving mission was our official name change in 2002 to the Air Force Enlisted Village. On September 15, 2005 our new Assisted Living Residence, Hawthorn House was opened adjacent to Bob Hope Village. We can now provide a greater level of care as our residents age in place. The long range goal is to eventually build a skilled nursing residence in order to provide continuous life care. Our campus also has a beautiful all-faiths chapel, a welcome center and an administrative building. Providing for resident's physical, social , psychological, health and security needs is the AFEV's only purpose.

Community Bridges envisions a thriving community where every person has the opportunity to unleash their full potential. Our family of ten programs delivers essential services, provides equitable access to resources, and advocates for health and dignity across every stage of life. Every year, we meet the needs of thousands of local children, families and seniors with broad support from individuals, businesses, foundations and government. We believe that when we work together, anything is possible. Our Child Development Division's experienced, bilingual teachers offer early education opportunities, developmental screenings, and family engagement at six centers throughout the county. Child & Adult Care Food Program is a nutrition assistance program that ensures low-income children and adults attending licensed facilities receive healthy meals and each every day. Elderday Adult Day Health Care is the only program of its kind in Santa Cruz County, serving approximately 70 elders and adults with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments each day. It provides the services this vulnerable population needs to stay healthy and maintain the highest level of independence possible. Our Family Resource Collective works with individuals and families to build safe, healthy, and compassionate communities through education, resources, and advocacy. It includes La Manzana Community Resources, Live Oak Family Resource Center, Mountain Community Resources, and Nueva Vista. Lift Line provides accessible rides to low-income, disabled, elderly and frail individuals each year, ensuring that their medical, nutritional, and emotional needs are met. Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County serves more than 600 meals per day to low-income, frail, elderly, and disabled residents. With no required payment or waiting list, those in need can count on a warm meal at one of our five centers, or delivered straight to their doors. Women, Infants & Children (WIC) provides nutrition education, food stamps, and breastfeeding support to more than 9,000 low-income pregnant women, infants and children each month, helping families thrive.
