The Mount Desert Nursing Association is dedicated to serving the health care needs of the Island of Mount Desert’s seasonal and year-round residents.

To provide a full range of living options, high-quality health services and individualized care plans designed to respect older adults’ varied interests, abilities and needs and promote independence and well-being.

TO PROVIDE QUALITY, AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND HEALTH CARE TO LOW/MODERATE INCOME FRAIL ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS. AT LEAST 60% OF THE ELDERLY HOUSED AT THE FACILITY WILL BE RECEIVING DISCOUNTED OR FREE SERVICES, CONSISTENT WITH THE CHARITABLE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.

For many aging adults in DuPage County, retirement savings may not be able to cover rising costs over a long life expectancy – especially the cost of housing. It’s time to get creative about housing options that help seniors stretch their retirement savings as far as possible. Senior Home Sharing is a leader in providing sustainable, affordable alternatives for senior living. Home sharing brings aging adults together as housemates to live independently and remain active within their communities. It’s a cost-saving option — with major potential health benefits. Recent studies have shown that social isolation among seniors takes a toll on physical and emotional health. Home sharing provides companionship and social engagement, along with peace of mind for seniors who know that someone’s nearby to lend a hand if needed. Better health and better quality of life are our goal.

SKILLED NURSING CARE AND SKILLED REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR ELDERLY AND CHRONICALLY ILL INDIVIDUALS LIVING IN THE NURSING FACILITY OR SERVED IN THE ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE PROGRAM. CARE IS PROVIDED IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHICH MAXIMIZES DIGNITY AND INDEPENDENCE.

VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION HEALTH GROUP, INC. AND AFFILIATES, WHICH INCLUDES THE ORGANIZATION, ARE ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO HELPING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN ACHIEVING THEIR BEST LEVEL OF WELL-BEING BY PROVIDING COMPASSIONATE, COORDINATED, AND INNOVATIVE CARE IN THEIR HOMES AND COMMUNIITIES.

Cabarrus Meals on Wheels assists frail home bound elderly and disabled adults remain independent in their homes with the preparation and delivery of a hot, nutritious noon time meal. Volunteers deliver meals daily and provide a daily health check.
