Home sharing brings aging adults together as housemates to live independently and remain active within their communities. It’s a cost-saving option — with major potential health benefits. Recent studies have shown that social isolation among seniors takes a toll on physical and emotional health. Home sharing provides companionship and social engagement, along with peace of mind for seniors who know that someone’s nearby to lend a hand if needed. Cabarrus Meals on Wheels assists frail home bound elderly and disabled adults remain independent in their homes with the preparation and delivery of a hot, nutritious noon time meal. Volunteers deliver meals daily and provide a daily health check.

IT IS THE MISSION OF ST. CHARLES CARE CENTER, INC. TO SERVE THE SENIOR POPULATION AND THEIR FAMILIES AND TO ENRICH ONE ANOTHER IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF MUTUAL TRUST, WILLING COOPERATION, AND SINCERE UNDERSTANDING. THE SENIOR POPULATION IS SERVED BY PROVIDING HOUSING, HEALTH CARE AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES.

(HEREINAFTER,"VNSHS"), A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT IS A CERTIFIED HOME HEALTH CARE AND HOSPICE AGENCY, DEDICATED TO PROVIDING INDIVIDUALS WITH HIGH QUALITY NURSING, THERAPY, AND HOSPICE SERVICES IN THEIR PLACES OF RESIDENCE AND WITHIN AN INPATIENT HOSPICE FACILITY.

Provide Facilities And Services For Those Elderly And Disabled Who Need Long And Short Term Physical, Psychological And/Or Social Care, In A Manner Consistent With Jewish Values; Serve As One Of The Professional Resources To The Community Regarding Aging, Disabilities And Health, And The Development Of Effective Approaches To Care And Services To The Aging And Disabled; Provide Support Services For Family Members Of Elderly And Disabled Either On Our Waiting List And/Or Utilizing Any Service Provided By The William Breman Jewish Home And Related Entities.

Wheels 4 Life is a non-profit charity (501c(3)), that provides bicycles to people in great need of transportation throughout the developing world. They work with volunteers in the field, local organizations and non profits, schools, community leaders and health care clinics they help them identify those people in genuine need of a bike. These people are those that live in both primative and remote areas, with no access to, nor the means of affording public transportation. The closest school, doctor, or work place might be as far as 10 to 20 miles away.The gift of mobility can make all the difference to a person’s life and help them to break out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
