SPECIAL OLYMPICS VERMONT (SOVT) CONTRIBUTES TO THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES PRIMARILY THROUGH ATHLETIC TRAINING AND COMPETITIONS. WE PROVIDE A BROAD VARIETY OF PROGRAMMING TO SUPPORT HOLISTIC WELL-BEING, WITH A FOCUS ON YEAR-ROUND SPORTS TRAINING AND ATHLETIC COMPETITION IN A VARIETY OF OLYMPIC-TYPE SPORTS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES, GIVING THEM CONTINUING OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP PHYSICAL FITNESS, DEMONSTRATE COURAGE, EXPERIENCE JOY, AND PARTICIPATE IN THE SHARING OF GIFTS, SKILLS AND FRIENDSHIPS WITH THEIR FAMILIES, OTHER SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETES AND THE COMMUNITY.

The Nuxhall Foundation carries forward the legacy projects for legendary Cincinnati Reds pitcher and broadcaster, the late Joe Nuxhall. A central legacy project of the foundation is The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, a comprehensive athletic facility in Fairfield, Ohio for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Additional foundation projects include The Joe Nuxhall Memorial Scholarship, and The Joe Nuxhall Character Education Fund. North Star Reach offers life-changing camp experiences for children with serious health challenges and their families. Campers at North Star Reach experience all of the fun, joy and independence that all children receive at camp and appreciate a rare sense of normalcy. Campers leave with improved self-esteem, restored childhood and a sense of accomplishment at attempting challenges in an environment that provides physical, emotional and medical support and supervision. Campers, staff and volunteers are all impacted in a positive way by the camp experience. Additionally, parents have a much-needed opportunity for respite and many report that their children return from camp with a new sense of autonomy and independence.

To offer a high-quality, affordable opportunity for kids to play hockey. AHC strives to provide age-appropriate and skill-appropriate player development and coaching. We strive to build solid foundational skills as part of our travel, developmental and in-house programs, which will enable us to have a strong, sustainable program year after year.

National Tennis Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to the development and advancement of under-served student athletes by providing opportunities through tennis and project-based educational and leadership programs. These programs are devised to promote academic excellence, healthy living, personal responsibility and character development.

The East Bay Rowing Club is dedicated to making rowing accessible to all. We believe in creating enduring relationships among our rowers as we serve our diverse community. We are proud of sponsoring and encouraging scholastic rowing programs in Oakland schools. Our growth is aimed at serving an ever-wider spectrum of rowers, as we remain committed to enabling recreational and competitive rowing at every level of the sport.

PROVIDING DESERVING CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10-13 WITH OVERNIGHT CAMPING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT NO COST TO THEIR FAMILY IN AN ATTEMPT TO COMBAT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY BY CREATING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMPING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES.
