Thornden Park Association

The Thornden Park Association was founded in 1983 to advocate for, restore, and revitalize Thornden Park, a seventy-six acre historic landscape situated within the complex and diverse University Neighborhood. During tax year 2019 the organization held 2 community events free to the public, 3 weeks of summer camp for city youth and included free and reduced rates as needed, and organized over 500 hours of volunteer hours to maintain and support the City owned park. This organization serves the residents of the City of Syracuse, NY (population ~160,000).

Sierra State Parks Foundation

The mission of the Sierra State Parks Foundation (SSPF) is to provide critically needed financial support and advocacy to the Lake Tahoe-Donner State Parks for education, interpretation, restoration and preservation consistent with the mission of California State Parks. We fund projects and educational programs that connect park visitors with our rich natural resources and cultural heritage. Because of this work and advocacy our parks will continue to be places of education and inspiration for generations to come.

Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Program

Freedom Hills is in its 36th year of providing low or no cost therapy services for the Challenged Population of our area. We have seen first hand and have documentation of how well this therapy works for these individuals. With the assistance of a trained staff, volunteer therapists and aides, Physician referrals we are able to provide this. We also take in and rehabilitate rescued ponies and horses. We work with At Risk youth as both riders and volunteers. We have a Senior Citizen Program. Our funding is mostly through donations although we do have several fund raisers a year and are looking for grant writers.

Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition

We work to build stronger, happier, healthier, more vibrant, and connected communities in the Valley, using the bicycle as our catalyst for change.We bring a can-do, cooperative spirit to our work. We give our time, energy, and passion to our trails, roads, and friendships.We believe that biking should be fun. We believe that change can be playful. We believe in stewardship and generosity. We believe that inclusion and a welcoming attitude will make us stronger and better.

Rose Bowl Legacy Campaign

Legacy Connections, Inc. is a private funding entity designed to support the multi-stage renovation of the Rose Bowl Stadium.  The Rose Bowl Legacy Campaign seeks to maintain the Rose Bowl’s National Historical Landmark status, develop revenue sources to fund long-term improvements and close financing gaps.  As we pursue varied revenue and philanthropic opportunities, Legacy’s enduring goal is to secure in perpetuity the interests of all of those who benefit from the Rose Bowl Stadium.
