Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization #20-1702191 is dedicated to honoring the life of our inspiration, Jimmy Miller, by supporting the healing of mental and physical illness through surfing and ocean related activities. Through recreational, education, and mentoring programs, the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation enables surfers, educators, therapists, lifeguards and friends to help people affected by mental and physical illness feel the joy and healing power of the ocean and surfing. JMMF pioneered the formation of an adaptive surfing program titled Ocean Therapy, where surfing is used as a means to increase self-esteem and self-efficacy in individuals suffering from mental and/or physical illness. The Ocean Therapy program is currently working with at risk children in the Los Angeles foster care community, veterans from all branches of the military and injured Marines in the Wounded Warrior Battalion in Camp Pendleton. We are looking to expand our programming to the addiction/recovery populations, victims and survivors of mass public and terrorist attacks, those suffering from suicidal ideation and anxiety, depression and other mental health illnesses.

Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation

PYSF provides the main venue in the South Bay for racing at the youth and high school level, and interest is at an all time high. We need your help to provide scholarships and purchase additional boats and equipment so all the kids interested in participating can sail. PYSF is a 501c3 non-profit foundation that relies on the generosity of the community and your tax deductible gift can help provide opportunities for kids to learn and compete in the world of sailing. How your donations help PYSF 'stay afloat' class fees only cover basic operating costs. We rely on donations to cover our capital expenses. PYSF makes sailing affordable so kids can participate. Class fees cover just over 80% of our costs, while fundraisers and donations help us keep up with the wear-and-tear on our boats and replace worn-out sails, lines and various parts.

Alpental Snoqualmie Ski Foundation

Participants pay tuition and racing fees to train to become future ski racing champions. There are approximately 150 participants in the program. Some of those who graduated are now competing at the collegiate level. TAS operations are funded largely through tuition and fundraising events, and within this 2016-2017 Sponsors play a critical role in overall team finances. TAS accomplishments require more than training and hard work on the part of athletes, parents and coaches, they also depend on sponsorships from local businesses to offset a significant portion of expenses. Funds raised go toward improving our training and race equipment, both of which are critical to the continued development of our program. Importantly, sponsorship funds go to scholarships to skiers whom otherwise would be unable to race.
