THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE CLASSROOM AND ON-WATER SAILING INSTRUCTION FOR THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED. THE FOUNDATION IS IN A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CHICAGO PARK DISTRICT WHEREBY THE FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS FOR INSTRUCTOR SALARIES, BOATS AND MAINTENANCE COSTS WHILE THE PARK DISTRICT OPERATES THE PROGRAM ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS.
The National D-Day Memorial Foundation's mission is to preserve the lessons and legacies of D-Day, June 6, 1944. The Foundation maintains and operates the National D-Day Memorial in direct support of that educational mission. In so doing, the Foundation ensures the integrity and security of our nation's memorial to the valor, fidelity, and sacrifice of the Allied Forces on D-Day, 6 June 1944 through veterans recognition events, lectures, school programming, teacher training, D-Day research, and commemorations.

The Sonoma County Parks Foundation raises funds, fosters partnerships and advocates on behalf of Sonoma County Regional Parks. The nonprofit is funded primarily by individual donors, and gifts to the Parks Foundation help build and maintain trails, fund fire prevention, support climate change initiatives, engage youth in the outdoors, and protect wildlife and sensitive habitats.
