WWO GIVES DESERVING ACTIVE DUTY WARRIORS IN TRANSITION THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME IN THE WILDERNESS LOCATION OF THEIR CHOICE. WE CALL THEM "ADVENTURES ENABLED." THEIR ADVENTURE COULD TAKE THEM BEAR HUNTING IN THE MOUNTAINS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, ON ALLIGATOR HUNTS OR FISHING EXCURSIONS IN THE GULF COAST REGION OF FLORIDA OR DEER HUNTING IN TEXAS. DURING THEIR EXPERIENCE, THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BACKPACKING, TRAIL EXPEDITIONS AND NUMEROUS SOCIAL INTERACTIONS.

VisionC, a 501(c)(3) organization, empowers Cameroonian youth through basketball, serving as a catalyst for inspiring a generation to envision and create a brighter future, while also nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Playing together on a team, kids learn crucial life skills including teamwork, sportsmanship, and problem solving. Sports also offer a natural avenue for kids to develop confidence, leadership and social skills, and accountability - more crucial skills that will help them in all facets of life.

Since 1974, Forest Glen has served thousands of kids, students, families & schools, providing an environment where people can experience God while making memories at camp. We are a non-profit, independent Christian camp & retreat center with 2 locations: 1 location in Huntsville, TX & 1 location in Rosebud, TX. Superaccio ('overcoming' in English) is a non-profit initiative that was born in Barcelona in early 2013 and is made up of professionals from a variety of fields, who are selflessly involved in enabling this project to be carried out. His mission is the improvement and personal development of young people at risk of social exclusion for their subsequent social and labour insertion. Specifically, the work and training of the triathlon serves as a vehicle for collaborating with young people who, for various reasons, have been abused by the 'system' or have not had the opportunity to learn or develop the tools needed to adapt to it. And it's much more than just the Triathlon! Through a broad and constant programme of physical, artistic and expressive activities, we can help to break stereotypes and for these young people to participate in, grow and adapt to different conditions and cultures. Superaccio has the sponsorship and collaboration of both public institutions and private entities. Thanks to their support it is possible to make this project become reality. Currently, Superaccio is extending its scope at a national and international level, with active programs in Tenerife and Tunisia. Look at the success achieved in spreading the Superaccio values to people who are the target of our activity. This is what motivates us to push the project forward every day!

PowerPlay advances the lives of girls through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger. We create opportunities for girls of color ages 8 through 18 by partnering with schools and CBOs in NYC to conduct after-school and summer programs that emphasize social-emotional wellness and physical fitness and education. Through sports, we build girls' confidence and resilience and create safe spaces where girls learn from one another and from strong female role models who look like them.

UmRio works to end intergenerational poverty in Morro do Castro, and support other vulnerable communities around the world do the same UmRio is an evidence-based development programme that supports children and youth at every stage of their learning, from the cradle to graduation. Through a 5-pillar development model centred around rugby, education, job-readiness, healthcare and social support, UmRio provides children, young people and their families with the conditions they need to take charge of their futures, rather than have them defined by the circumstance they were born into.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS VERMONT (SOVT) CONTRIBUTES TO THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES PRIMARILY THROUGH ATHLETIC TRAINING AND COMPETITIONS. WE PROVIDE A BROAD VARIETY OF PROGRAMMING TO SUPPORT HOLISTIC WELL-BEING, WITH A FOCUS ON YEAR-ROUND SPORTS TRAINING AND ATHLETIC COMPETITION IN A VARIETY OF OLYMPIC-TYPE SPORTS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES, GIVING THEM CONTINUING OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP PHYSICAL FITNESS, DEMONSTRATE COURAGE, EXPERIENCE JOY, AND PARTICIPATE IN THE SHARING OF GIFTS, SKILLS AND FRIENDSHIPS WITH THEIR FAMILIES, OTHER SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETES AND THE COMMUNITY.

Paris Basket 18 aims to promote the integration of young girls from underprivileged neighborhoods through sport. Two types of projects are carried out by the club: - actions around the leisure practice of basketball and sports in general. - actions around a competitive basketball practice The aim is to create an original way of social integration of children and adolescent girls from underprivileged backgrounds, to promote the practice of femininity in order to fight against the cultural sexism that girls face in their daily lives, the appropriation by adolescent girls of a cultural object very marked by the practice of males goes in the direction of a redefinition of the social roles attributed to boys and girls. Le sport est donc l'outil grace auquel nous mobilisons les jeunes filles. En complement de cela, nous leur proposons un accompagnement plus global afin de developper leurs competences qu'elles soient scolaires ou sociales. Nous mettons en place de nombreuses activites afin de permettre a chaque jeune d'etre epanouie et a meme de faire face aux difficultes qu'elles vont affronter en etant le plus confiantes possibles. Un ensemble d'actions autour de l'accompagnement a la scolarite est mis en place: - de l'aide aux devoirs - une mediation entre les familles et les etablissements scolaires - un suivi psychologique des jeunes et/ou de leurs familles - des ateliers de paroles encadres par notre psychologue Les intervenants sont formes et suivis tout au long de l'annee par notre psychologue afin d'intervenir de facon la plus juste possible aupres des jeunes.

Mission and Vision:  Chess in the Schools is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to improving academic performance and building self-esteem among inner-city public school children. Chess is a powerful teaching tool that can break through barriers to help the most disadvantaged students learn skills that translate into academic and lifelong success. Over the past two decades, we have seen how an effective chess education curriculum can change lives. But, learning chess is just the first stebut no one will dispute that the numbers are unsatisfactory. This appallingly low statistic is even lower for minority students and those who live in poverty. Many education experts agree that increasing the high school graduation rate starts with early intervention. Chess in the Schools believes that elementary school students need to develop basic analytical skills that lead to academic success throughout their school career. To develop these skills, Chess in the Schools teaches the complex game of chess to thousands of New York City public school children every year.

The American Amputee Soccer Association has dual missions. One mission is to promote and develop the sport for the benefit of participants with limb differences. We look to grow the sport for juniors and adults and for women and men. We look to accomplish this through outreach programs at the local levels to help interested players become introduced to the sport, maximize their proficiency, build self confidence, learn the power of teamwork, and build a strong social network. Our second mission is to select, develop, and train the elite amputee soccer athlete to represent the United States in international competition.

They exist to serve individuals with Down syndrome by providing a fun, active, and supportive environment to enable our Athletes to grow both physically and personally by engaging them in activities that positively impact athletic, social and emotional development. Our vision is that every individual with Down syndrome will conquer their challenges and achieve their fullest potential. Buddy Up For Life is passionately dedicated to raising the bar by focusing on increasing the quality of life for our Athletes with Down syndrome via three fundamental pillars: cultivation of increased independence, promotion of greater health and wellness, and fostering of meaningful friendships.
