Friends Of The Hollywood Cap Park

In Relation To The Environmental Impact Report, The Adeir Was Submitted To The Recreation And Parks On April 26, 2019. Fhcp Finance Committee Began Work On The 2 Opportunity Zones Within The Park Area. In October 2019, Fhcp Presented The Park Project To All City Managers From Each City Department As Well As The Mayors Office. Fhcp Continued Meeting Quarterly With Council Member Mitch O'Farrell. Fhcp Signed A Commitment Letter With La Building And Construction Trades. Fhcp Advocated On Behalf Of The Hcp In Washington Dc And Sacramento. Fhcp Representatives Attended City Parks Alliance Biennial Conference In Denver, Colorado. In December 2019, Fhcp Sponsored An Ideas And Inspiration Competition For Architectural Students. An Event Was Held On December 10, 2019 To Honor The More Than 89 Student Participants And Show Case Their Ideas For The Hollywood Central Park. Oaks And Spokes

Oaks & Spokes is growing bicycling community and culture in Raleigh. They support bicycling as a viable mode of transportation and intend to leave a lingering impact through outreach, collaboration, and making real change within our city. They are an all-volunteer board composed of 9 individuals who live in and/or work in Raleigh, NC. They host and promote cycling related events in and around Downtown Raleigh. These events are almost always free and intended for any and all types of people who ride bikes. They facilitate innovative projects like Bicycle Repair Stations, Bicycle Corral Parking, and are always working on new ideas! They have held an annual festival each spring since March 2013 through collaborations with people and businesses in the city. The first Oaks and Spokes Festival occurred March 2013 and had over 1,200 participants. They work toward better facilities and changes to policies that affect the ability to safely and efficiently ride a bicycle in Raleigh and in North Carolina. They keep a keen eye on bicycle planning in Raleigh.
