ELSA

ELSA's mission is to improve the lives of children, teens and young adults with special needs and their families through the benefits of human-animal interaction programs in the ranch environment using horses and farm animals. Participants in ELSA programs build trust, reduce anxiety, develop empathy, attachment, and sensory awareness and improve their observation and problem-solving competencies, nonverbal language cues, and other communication and social skills. Through ineraction with horses, particpants gain confidence and empowerment.

Westlake High School Lacrosse Booster Club

The specific and primary purpose of the Westlake High School Lacrosse Booster Club is to induce and stimulate parent and student participation in the extra-curricular activity of team lacrosse, and to establish a fund from which the aforementioned activities may be provided with equipment, materials, supplies, coaches stipends and financial support which is not available through school funds. **Be reminded that no player will be excluded from participation regardless of their donation** California law guarantees students a public education free of charge, including extracurricular activities. Students are therefore entitled access to educational activities, and to all materials, supplies, equipment and uniforms necessary for the educational activity, without charges or security deposits. There are some narrow fee authorizations in the law, and we ask for and encourage donations to assist us in our effort to continue providing high quality courses ad activities, but all donations are strictly voluntary. Since one of the main barriers arise from the natural grass fields used in conventional leagues, The Miracle League teams play on a custom-designed, rubberized turf field that accommodates wheelchairs and other assertive devices while helping to prevent injuries. The Miracle League makes dreams come true for children and adults with special needs. It’s more than playing a game. The Miracle League is about making new friends, building self-esteem and being treated like an athlete. To help the athletes, The Miracle League uses a “buddy” system, resulting in a beautiful bond between disabled player and an able-bodied peer. The Miracle League serves children and adults who suffer from any physical or mental disabilities, causing them to be excluded, whether intentionally or not, from conventional baseball leagues.

AFUNO is a nonprofit tax-exempt charity organization dedicated to providing footwear to students who are in dire need. Our main focus is to ensure that, all students have an adequate pair of shoes and also focus on making sure that no students walk to school barefooted. We are taken the first step to help the underprivileged school-aged and the talented to have the opportunity to own a pair of shoes. Your unwanted footwear creates opportunity many need. Walking becomes unbearable. Every day many children are prevented from attending school or sport activity, adults are unable to work, farmers are unable to farm their land, and doctors and nurses cannot properly and professionally perform their duties as a medical professional, they cannot properly provide a medical footwear to a child in need because they know that in this hardship financial conditions, parents can't afford one. A new pair of shoes provides relief in many people's lives in Haiti, in times of disaster, and helps bridge the economic gap in the South and South-West of Haiti. This is why your donation makes a huge impact in the Haitian families. So, we need your help to keep on going.
