The Miss America Foundation

The Miss America Foundation strives to change lives and influence young women across the country and around the world. We proudly offer academic and community-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as endowed scholarships for those young women attending medical school, working in special areas for military service awareness, STEM, and in the performing arts. The Miss America Foundation, Inc. is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation that provides academic scholarships to young women. MAF is duly recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. As such, any donation to the Foundation is tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. building scholarships to prepare great women for the world and the world for great women.

We, Salesian Sisters, commit ourselves to the new evangelization of youth. Impelled by our charism, we evangelize by educating. We open up new ways for the education of the young, deepening within them an attitude of respect for the dignity of the human person and an openness to life in all its forms. We commit ourselves to a community lifestyle which is simple, poor, welcoming, and able to create a new educative presence among poor youth.

Sisters Empowerment Network, Inc.'s mission is to educate women and girls victimized by domestic violence in becoming or maintaining self-sufficiency. We do this by helping prepare them to achieve their full potential through support services, referrals, training, leadership and career development. As advocates for social change, we advance our mission by empowering women to realize their full potential which ultimately can assist with breaking the cycle of poverty, create prosperity, and create other transformative outcomes. By supporting women and girls, we can turn abysmal indicators around and begin to solve many of the world's most critical problems that affect women and their children.

We provide social and educational support customized to each girl and her family's needs and have a goal to also introduce a vocational support program.

Their mission is to increase and enhance the self- esteem, self-confidence and self-perception of young African American women in the Sacramento community, while encouraging and supporting, both psychologically and financially, their pursuit of education and achievement.
