Chicago's Citizens For Change

It is our mission to offer crisis intervention, supportive counseling and comprehensive referral services to surviving family members throughout Chicago following homicide; to work collaboratively to provide training in sensitive and effective communication with and treatment of victim’ families to law enforcement, court personnel, medical examiner’s office, emergency rooms and other systems related to the aftermath of homicide; to foster a community of survivors who may derive empathy, support, education and healing from one another, and contribute to anti-violence work through their collective voice and experience.

The Mademoiselle Service & Social Club

The Mademoiselle Service & Social Club is a 501 (c)(3) charity formed in 2004 by Mlle. Shannan E. Johnson and Mlle. Brandii Mayes. The Mademoiselle Club is comprised of young, professional women committed to mentoring and uplifting young ladies of color from the inner-city through cooperative projects and events that will help foster their development as model women in their communities and beyond. Major events include an annual conference, community service project, and leadership retreat.

SILICON VALLEY SOCIAL VENTURE FUND’S (SV2) MISSION IS TO UNLEASH THE RESOURCES AND TALENTS OF THE SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY TO ACHIEVE MEANINGFUL SOCIAL IMPACT. SV2 WORKS TO BUILD THE ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY OF OUR NONPROFIT GRANTEES AND IMPACT INVESTEES AND THE PHILANTHROPIC CAPACITY OF OUR DONORS (CALLED "PARTNERS"). SV2 DOES THIS THROUGH ENGAGED GRANTMAKING IN A NUMBER OF ISSUE AREAS WITH FUNDS CONTRIBUTED BY OUR DONOR-PARTNERS.

The Impact Center was created with the singular goal of connecting students with meaningful service opportunities that help transform their passion into action. By getting young people involved with volunteering in their communities at an early age, we hope to inspire lifelong commitments to service and learning.
