The House with a Heart Pet Sanctuary mission is to provide senior and special needs pets with a loving and caring home where they will be allowed to live out their lives in a secure, nurturing environment. We provide residents with a comfortable, bright, and spotless home environment. They play in secure outdoor yards and spend supervised time in fenced, grassy fields on the two-acre property. Healthcare and wellness screening are ongoing, with veterinary specialists consulted when needed. Pets receive special diets, as necessary, and are fed high-quality foods and treats.

Imagine supports children and families coping with loss and fosters resiliency and emotional well-being for all those who grieve. We do this by providing education and free year-round peer grief support for children age 3-18 and young adults 18-30 who are coping with loss due to the death of a parent or sibling or who have a family member living with a life-altering physical illness. Concurrent support groups are available for parents and guardians in both programs. In the area of education and outreach, we provide on-site bereavement and crisis support and educational workshops and presentations for businesses, corporations, schools, and community agencies.
The mission of Children’s Diabetes Camp of Central Texas is to support and advise Camp Bluebonnet, Bluebonnet Buds Day, Bluebonnet Bigs Day, and CIT Day so that volunteers may provide a safe camp experience that accommodates the unique health needs of both kids and adults who have diabetes. Camp Bluebonnet is our longest running program. It is a week long day camp available to kids who have diabetes and who are going into grades 1-12. Kids who have graduated, but have not yet turned 18 can come back for an additional summer. We love to have former campers who have turned 18 serve as volunteers. We accept siblings to Camp Bluebonnet on a limited basis. We hold camp at Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children each summer during the third full week of June.

Youth With Faces gives youth in the juvenile justice system a second chance to be more than a faceless statistic. We all know making poor choices is part of growing up. But for incarcerated youth, the poverty and dysfunction that led to their mistakes create a cycle of crime difficult for any teen to overcome alone. This is why we are here, every day without fail, with respect, accountability and belief in their potential. We help Dallas County youth change doing time into a time to learn and practice critical character lessons and work skills. As a result, they significantly reduce their chances of returning to custody and can build a new identity – as a capable young person with a contribution to make.
