Volunteer Center Of Story County

We build strong community by inspiring, educating and mobilizing volunteers to address community needs in Story County. We have been serving Story County since 1982. To accomplish our mission we: · Connect volunteers with volunteer opportunities throughout Story County. · Promote volunteering and community involvement. · Recognize volunteers. · Educate volunteer leaders.

Milwaukee Area Health Education Center

The Milwaukee Area Health Education Center (Milwaukee-AHEC) connects students to careers, professionals to communities, and communities to better health. Since 1992, Milwaukee-AHEC has worked to forge collaborative partnerships with health-related employers, community-based organizations, academic institutions, and other sectors to advance community and public health that will impact health outcomes.

Two Feet Project

Two Feet Project is an organization dedicated to instilling hope and promoting positive change in the youth of Kenya. Using mentorship programs and sports as platforms, Two Feet Project aims to equip Kenya’s underprivileged youth with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to overcome the obstacles that keep much of Kenya’s population in poverty.  Two Feet Project strives to prepare the Kenyan youth to be catalyst for change in their own communities and for them to be examples of leadership as they stand on their own two feet and end the cycle of perpetual poverty and hopelessness that permeates their culture.

Reverend Pinckney Fund

This Fund will be administered by the Palmetto Project (a South Carolina non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of South Carolians). 100% of the funds donated will be used in this community to support local initiatives serving his home church, vulnerable populations and youth projects that Reverend Pinckney was so passionate about. Decisions on the use of these funds will be made a task force of stakeholders made up of a member or members of Reverend Pinckney’s family, colleagues, representatives from Emanuel AME Church and other members of our community selected for their specific expertise. 

The Cedarmore

The mission of The Cedarmore Corporation is to improve the educational, social and emotional development of youth representing the diverse population of families from the New York metropolitan area. We educate, elevate and motivate others to achieve healthy, productive lives. National Girls Collaborative

The National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) brings together organizations committed to informing and encouraging girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). NGCP connects, creates, and collaborates with advocates for transformative change to advance the agenda in gender equity and expand girls’ participation in STEM.
