Triple R Horse Rescue

*"IN STATE ADOPTIONS ONLY!"* We are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization based in Cave Creek, Arizona. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses in need. We are a 100% volunteer organization with our volunteers pouring their dedication and determination into providing daily care for all of our horses. Our Arizona horse rescue facility accommodates 15 rescued horses on any given day. Triple R strives to be a partner in the equine community by providing awareness and education about options for helping horses in need. We offer opportunities for educational programs, schools, groups and individuals to participate in spreading this awareness, and by having groups and individuals become involved in Triple R's daily activities. Our goal is to be an educational resource for any group that can benefit from a relationship with our horses. Veterinarian-technician students from Anthem College, Boy/Girl Scouts earning their badges, and many other community/service-minded groups have benefited from their time spent at Triple R. Your tax-deductible donations are the foundation of our horse rescue and adoption process. As a 100% nonprofit organization, we strive to make the most of what our generous donors are able to provide. All funds are dedicated completely to the welfare of our horses.

Adas Cafe

Ada’s Café is a Palo Alto-based 501(c) 3, non-profit that provides training and jobs for adults with developmental disabilities living primarily in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. The social mission of Ada’s is three-fold: (i) to hire and train adults with disabilities to work in its café and catering businesses, (ii) to engage teens and young adults through work and involvement with Ada’s disabled employees and (ii) to foster a better understanding among the general population about the contributions that can be made by developmentally disabled adults. The benefits of empowering and employing adults with developmental disabilities are clear, innumerable and easy to document with social science statistics. The population of adults with intellectual disabilities is one of the most marginalized in our society, is often ignored and suffers from an unemployment rate estimated at nearly 80%. The self-esteem and health benefits that come from having a job, the satisfaction that comes from making an important contribution to a sustainable enterprise and reducing the burden on an already overwhelmed and under-funded social welfare support system are just a few of the many benefits created by Ada’s. In addition, Ada’s believes that youth engaged in meaningful work will feel more connected to and invested in their communities. In all of its ventures, Ada’s Café brings diverse groups of people together in a warm and welcoming environment with a mission of creating good food and community.

REDWOOD HIGH MUSIC BOOSTERS

RHS Music Boosters raises funds to augment the generous support the Music Department receives from the Redwood High School Foundation. A common question is: Why does the Boosters Club do fund-raising when the Music Department already receives support from the Foundation. The answer relates to “expense scale”. The Foundation provides for relatively large-scale capital expenditures which, for the Music Department, might relate to a full section instrument upgrade or a material purchase of sound and production equipment. Boosters funds support day-to-day expenses that occur in the administration of an active program of seven classes and over two hundred regular students.
