We are located in a small community in a rural area of southern British Columbia. What We Offer: Community Counselling, Addictions and Alcohol Counselling, Children and Youth Counselling, Victims assistance and counselling, Family support,Lifeline, and our Family Centre are a few of the programs we offer. Youth Unlimited / Kawartha YFC is a registered non-profit, non-denominational, international Christian youth organization and Chartered member of Youth for Christ Canada. In 2007 we are celebrating our 29th year of service in the Kawarthas. Youth Unlimited Kawartha currently serves youth and families in the Peterborough, Lakefield, Bobcaygeon / Fenelon Falls and the Haliburton Highlands with our head office located in downtown Peterborough, 1.5 hours north east of Toronto. Youth Unlimited Kawartha has 9 full-time and 3 part-time staff and over 50 volunteers reaching out to hundreds of youth to see them attain their full life potential as God designed it.
Springboard Centre provides life opportunities for adults facing developmental and physical challenges. Within our service exists a diverse, qualified team of staff members who create innovative, individualized activities for our clientele. Each Springboard client plays a part in the creation of his or her own schedule of activities. Springboard Centre offers services to adults with moderate to severe development disabilities who may also have mild to moderate behavioral challenges.
The Kelowna Community Food Bank Society is dedicated to helping local individuals and families who are in temporary financial difficulty and are in need of food. We are a self supporting non-profit organization serving residents of Kelowna. We raise money and food through donations, special fundraising events and several local sponsors.
Kelowna's Gospel Mission is a not-for-profit, Christian organization that cares for thousands of hungry, hurting and homeless people every year since 1978. We work closely with government, businesses, community, faith groups, service providers, residents and the people we serve, creating solutions for long-term change. We desire to see lives changed by practically demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ and meeting each individual's spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs. We lead people who are bent, bruised and broken to wholeness and successful living.

The residential programs operated by Kerry’s Place Autism Services offer safe and practical living arrangements within various communities in Southern Ontario. Community Outreach services are more specific to the needs of the respective communities that they serve. Depending upon the Ministry mandate for the specific region, the community outreach program may serve both children and adults or only children and adolescents until the age of 18 years. Overall, the Community Outreach programs provide support and consultation to individuals with autism and their families. This service may take the form of behaviour management, family resource days, workshops and parent counseling. Respite support is provided to families in need through community outreach. These arrangements can be offered in residence or in the community.

King Township Public Library operates four branches serving the community of the Township of King. Located in King City, Nobleton, Schomberg, and Ansnorveldt, the Library offers a collection of over 75,000 print and AV items, as well as a vast digital collection. Our strategic goals include: 1. The Library will be a destination of choice for the community offering comfortable, vibrant and creative spaces which are fully accessible. 2. The Library will revitalize its collections, programs and services in response to the evolving needs of our growing community. 3. The Library will continue to foster a dynamic culture of innovation, employing existing and emerging technologies to connect our users to both the world within and beyond our walls. 4. The Library will be recognized and valued as an essential service by community stakeholders and residents.
Telemiracle is a 20 hour telethon, run by 1200 Kinsmen, Kinettes and CTV production volunteers that has become a part of the hearts and minds of the People of Saskatchewan. As a grassroots organization, the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation responds to a variety of special needs. Through Telemiracle, we have distributed millions of dollars, touching thousands of people throughout the province, improving quality of life and assisting families and groups where no one else is able to. What is the need? - specialty wheel chairs cost $3000-$5000; - wheelchair lifts are worth $2000; - scooters average $2500-$4500; - “talking machines” cost $10,000; - emergency medical assistance can run from a few hundred dollars to thousands; - ceiling track lifts are worth $1000-$4000. The Kinsmen Foundation also provides funding to community projects to assist with: - medical equipment in hospitals; - special needs equipment in group homes; - handi-vans for community based organizations
