The Fund for the City of New York was established by the Ford Foundation in 1968 with the mandate to improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers. For over five decades, in partnership with government agencies, nonprofit institutions and foundations, the Fund has developed and helped to implement innovations in policy, programs, practices and technology in order to advance the functioning of government and nonprofit organizations in New York City and beyond.

Ellington Fund

Since 1974, Duke Ellington School of the Arts has provided equitable access to a life-changing arts education for the District's talented youth, regardless of background or ability to a pay. Ellington is the only DC public high school to offer a dual curriculum encompassing professional arts training and academic enrichment. It has a 4-star rating and is one of the highest ranked public high schools in DC with 97% of students graduating on-time and 95% of graduates enrolling in institutions of higher-learning, often receiving over $10 million in scholarships. Our students’ deep commitment to the arts empowers them to succeed academically. The Ellington Fund is a non-profit organization and the the charitable arm of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

The Akanksha Education Fund

Akanksha Education Fund is a not-for-profit organization that works to raise support and awareness in the U.S. and funds educational opportunities for disadvantaged children in India. Our programs enable some of the most marginalized children in the world to maximize their potential and change their lives. The Fund works with The Akanksha Foundation (a registered Indian charity) to advise and fund the Foundation's innovative programs, which currently serve school-aged children in India and related charitable activities.Realizing that kids not only need good schools, but also strong teachers and principals, the Akanksha Fund also supports the India School Leadership Institute and Teach for India. These three organizations work hand in hand with each other to reform education in India.

The Angel Fund Corp.

Started in August 2009 by Elizabeth Pilgrim of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, The Angel Fund Corp. provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients in the Conception Bay North area who find themselves in financial distress due to their diagnosis. We provide funds to cover prosthetics, wigs, medication not covered by insurance, transportation costs, nutrition...whatever the need may be. Our funds come from our own fundraising efforts and the kind donations of individuals and corporations.
