Restorative Justice Chatham-Kent

Restorative Justice Chatham-Kent (RJCK) is an incorporated non-profit organization that offers an alternative to the traditional criminal justice system for youth aged 12 - 17. We aim to repair the community relationships that are damaged when a crime is committed. Instead of simply punishing and labelling young people who have committed crimes, RJCK gives them the opportunity to take responsibility for their behaviour, understand the full impact of their actions on others, and repair the harm done to their victims and the community as a whole.

Social Justice Learning Institute

The Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) is dedicated to improving the education, health, and well-being of youth and communities of color by empowering them to enact social change through research, training, and community mobilization.

The foundation provides essential resources to organizations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming to strengthen grassroots efforts in the broad-based movement for progressive, systemic social change.

National Black Justice Coalition

The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). NBJC's mission is to end racism, homophobia, and LGBTQ bias and stigma. As America's leading national Black LGBTQ civil rights organization focused on federal public policy, NBJC has accepted the charge to lead Black families in strengthening the bonds and bridging the gaps between the movements for racial justice and LGBTQ equality. Since 2003, NBJC has provided leadership at the intersection of national civil rights groups and LGBTQ organizations, advocating for the unique challenges and needs of the African American LGBTQ community that are often relegated to the sidelines. NBJC envisions a world where all people are fully-empowered to participate safely, openly, and honestly in family, faith, and community, regardless of race, class, gender identity, or sexual orientation. NBJC's programmatic work aims to build partnerships and provide cultural competency training and education—moving beyond tokenization to more intentional diversity and inclusion strategies in both African American spaces and in LGBTQ spaces.

Social Justice 4 All

Social Justice 4 All will promote greater public understanding of the negative impacts of racism and economic injustice on all members of our community, will promote community efforts and projects to address social needs and improve community relationships, and will organize, plan, manage and/or execute specific projects or programs to improve the lives of individuals or communities negatively affected by racism and/or social inequities.

CALGARY YOUTH JUSTICE SOCIETY

The Calgary Youth Justice Society provides three programs to support young people who are vulnerable to risk-taking and criminal activities. Youth Justice Committees are an alternative to court. The Committees find appropriate and meaningful consequences and solutions for the young person between 12-18 years involved in criminal activity and his/her victims. NGAGE supports youth who are assigned community service hours in response to their offence and who are having trouble starting or completing their mandated hours. It provides wrap around support to youth who have significant barriers which would prevent them from achieving success in a typical volunteer placement. In the Lead is an innovative leadership and character-building program using an approach with young people that engages with what is strong in a young person as opposed to what is wrong. It increases resilience and reduces the likelihood of risk-taking behaviour that could lead to criminal activity or leaving school.

The Student Justice League

Women Veteran Social Justice

Our mission is to Identify, Connect, and Empower women veterans through social, professional and personal connections. We do this by utilizing electronic and live networking across communities, across the United States and internationally. Technology and collaboration have been tools to firmly anchor and connect an otherwise invisible nation of women who have served with those who are serving and those who are preparing to serve in the military.

Richmond Justice Initiative Incorporated

To educate, equip and mobilize communities with the tools needed to be a force in the global movement to end human trafficking.

Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition

We believe in a world where all of us, no matter our race, place or politics have access to affordable, renewable and community-controlled energy. But wealthy monopolies like DTE energy use their power to saddle our communities with unaffordable and unreliable power while polluting our neighborhoods.

Criminal Justice Policy Coalition

Massachusetts jails are filled with people awaiting trial simply because they cannot afford bail. Bail leads to longer incarcerations times, lost jobs, lost housing, and devastated families. The Massachusetts Bail Fund provides up to $500 bail for those who would otherwise have to remain in jail.

Vera Institute of Justice

We work with others who share our vision to tackle the most pressing injustices of our day—from the causes and consequences of mass incarceration, racial disparities, and the loss of public trust in law enforcement, to the unmet needs of the vulnerable, the marginalized, and those harmed by crime and violence.
