Regional Arts & Culture Council

The mission of the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is to enrich community life through arts and culture. RACC is the steward of public investment in arts and culture, and works to create an environment in which the arts and culture of the region can flourish and prosper.

Pacific Palisades Community Council

To be a forum for the discussion of community issues. To be an advocate for the Pacific Palisades to government and private agencies upon those issues where there is broad community agreement. To assist other organizations in the Pacific Palisades which request help in accomplishing their objectives or purposes, and which the Council chooses to support.

THE ALGARVA CHARITY COUNCIL

The Algarva Charity Council is the Charity arm of the Algarva Caravan #186 of the International Order of Alhambra. We work to raise funds to assist those in our community who are developmentally challenged. Our area includes the Counties of Lambton, Middlesex & Huron in the Province of Ontario.

ArtSea Community Arts Council

The CACSP is a registered charitable organization incorporated in 1991. With only one part-time employee, the CACSP is almost entirely volunteer run. A committed and active board has made possible steady, sustainable growth. Funding is predominantly through Municipal and Provincial grants. The CACSP enjoys strong support from the Town of Sidney, the Municipalities of North and Central Saanich and the BC Arts Council. The area in which CACSP operates has one of the highest populations of artists in Canada whose work enriches arts and culture across Canada. The CACSP also fundraises for 'Arts in the Schools;' local arts practitioners are hired by School District 63 to support and enhance arts curriculum. Over 10K was granted in 2013 to SD63 and ~4,000 students experienced increased arts opportunities as a result. The CACSP is involved in over 30 arts shows and arts related events yearly. We support smaller arts organization programming through our member group grants program.

MANITOBA 4-H COUNCIL

Manitoba 4-H Council is a non-profit organization which manages provincial wide 4-H events and activities, awards scholarships for post-secondary education and offers national and international travel opportunities. Supporting 4-H can connect you with Manitoba's 2,600 members and 1,200 volunteer leaders.

LITERACY COUNCIL YORK-SIMCOE

The Literacy Council York-Simcoe is a non-profit community-based organization. We provide free tutoring services to adults who wish to upgrade their basic reading, writing and math skills for employment, higher education and independence. We offer one-to-one tutoring, small groups, and computer-based training.

Anthony Wayne Area Council

It is the mission of the Anthony Wayne Area Council, Boy Scout of America to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and in other ways prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Boy Scout Oath and Law.

Tualatin River Watershed Council

The Tualatin River Watershed Council links land, water and people. We bring together all interests in the basin to promote and improve watershed health. We work together through cooperation, collaboration and communication.  All of our actions affect the health of our watershed. We need your help in improving our watershed’s health! A small group of agency and government representatives began meeting in 1993 to discuss formation of a watershed council because they recognized the need to minimize watershed impacts and develop local solutions in a comprehensive manner. The Tualatin River Watershed Council was formed in 1996 to provide coordinated and integrated resource planning for the Tualatin River Watershed.  Its purpose is to: Increase local input in management of watershed resources. Initiate resolution of problems and issues within the watershed. Identify problems and issues of importance to local citizens, groups, and users of the watershed. Diminish and eliminate further degradation of the watershed and its resources through better management practices. Increase the viability, diversity, and health of the watershed. Undertake a proactive approach in management of the watershed. Create and implement a watershed action plan encompassing, but not limited to current and potential problems and issues, potential solutions, restoration/ enhancement measures, and monitoring programs within the Tualatin River Watershed.

FRASER BASIN COUNCIL SOCIETY

Established in 1997, the Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a non-profit, charitable society that advances sustainability in the communities of the Fraser River Basin and beyond. FBC is led by 36 directors from the four orders of government (federal, provincial, local and First Nations) and from the private sector and civil society. FBC helps others work together on solutions to sustainability issues and conflicts. Over the past 10 years, the Council has helped facilitate multiple collaborative processes and, with its partners, has tackled a diversity of sustainability initiatives. These include programs on flood hazard and debris management, aboriginal and non-aboriginal relations, strengthening communities, climate change action, greening of BC fleets, healthy watersheds, sustainable fisheries, control of invasive plants, sustainability reporting and education.

The Urban Libraries Council

The Urban Libraries Council (ULC), founded in 1971, is a membership association of leading public library systems in the U.S. and Canada. With the help of our members, ULC strategically advances the value that 21st century libraries provide communities in critical areas such as education, lifelong learning, workforce and economic development, public safety, health and wellness and environmental sustainability.  

Council For The Homeless

At Council for the Homeless we believe housing is a human need and our mission is to prevent and end homelessness in Clark County, WA. We serve as the central access point for homelessness and housing assistance countywide and our staff assist people each day through our Housing Hotline, Outreach, Housing Coordination, and programs for specific groups such as seniors, families, and Veterans.

National Fire Safety Council

National Fire Safety Council (NFSC) furnishes fire prevention, fire safety and life safety educational materials to school aged children and their parents by means of safety programs conducted through local fire departments and schools. NFSC also makes grants, contributions, and loans to other 501 (c)(3) organizations that could not carry out their charitable purpose without such support.
