The Children's Literacy Foundation (CLiF) is a nonprofit that nurtures a love of reading and writing among low-income, at-risk, and rural young readers and writers up to age 12 throughout VT and NH. Since 1998, CLiF has provided inspiring free literacy programs and thousands of new books to more than 225,000 children in more than 400 towns across the Twin States and donated approx. $6 million in new, high-quality children's books to children who have few, if any, books at home. CLiF arranges for more than 60 professional children's authors, illustrators, storytellers, and poets to work directly with children. CLiF partners with many schools, libraries, and organizations to serve children in low-income housing and shelters, childcare programs, after school programs, and many others.
