Serenity Springs Wildlife Center

Serenity Springs Wildlife Center is dedicated to providing a safe, stable and permanent home for non-domestic felines and other exotic wildlife. Through educational programs and community outreach, we strive to raise public awareness of the existence of the large numbers of captive wildlife and the continuing need for sanctuary from exploitation, abuse and neglect. Through introduction to, and education about these magnificent creatures, we promote compassion and respect for all animals while fostering recovery for endangered species.

Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary

The Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is a not-for-profit corporation and registered charity (#82731 7744 RR0001)based in North Gower, Ontario. RVWS receives no government funding and relies solely on donations to continue its work. RVWS is the only licensed facility for the rehabilitation of wild mammals and turtles serving Ottawa and surrounding communities.

Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre

The OCWC's programs are built on its unique hands-on animal care experience with a range of species from flying squirrels to river otters and the expertise gained in resolving over 100,000 human-wildilfe conflict calls. Our programs include: 1)School Program designed to improve the knowledge and understanding of wildlife among students in grades JK-8. It aims to get children excited about wildlife and to help reconnect them to nature. Annually the Centre works with about 1,000 students; 2)The Centre's website offers detailed, cost-effective and humane solutions to human-wildlife conflicts; 3)The OCWC's Community Outreach Programs give workshops at events ranging from Environmental Fairs, summer camps, libraries, gardening clubs and community associations. Through these events the Centre increases the public's understanding about urban wildlife and biodiversity; 4)The Centre builds and maintains strategic partnerships so wildilfe perspectives are considered in planning matters.

South Bay Wildlife Rehab

Our mission is two-fold. One is to rehabilitate and return to the wild the sick, injured, and orphaned patients we receive. The other is to provide comprehensive wildlife and environmental education to the public.

NORTHWEST WILDLIFE PRESERVATION SOCIETY

Each year NWPS provides presentations, wildlife workshops, field trips and publications to children and adults through out BC. We actively protect and preserve wildlife habitat through stewardship initiatives within our province. Our Youth Estuary Stewardship Program allows people to learn about the Fraser River Estuary ecosystem while taking part in actively restoring it. MEDICINE RIVER WILDLIFE CENTRE

MRWC is a wildlife hospital admitting close to 1000 wild patients per year. MRWC is also an education centre presenting approximately 200 education programs and welcoming almost 9000 tourists annually.

SECOND CHANCE WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Second Chance Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1996 by Joyce Smith and upon her passing in 2008 has been run by a board of directors. We are located in North Pickering on land generously provided by the ClubLink Corporation. We receive no government funding of any kind and rely on private donations to continue operating. Run by volunteers and employing a small number of part-time staff, our administrative costs are minimal, ensuring that donations go straight to the bottom line, i.e., housing, feeding, spaying/neutering and medicating the feline residents.

SOMENOS MARSH WILDLIFE SOCIETY

Somenos Marsh is a fascinating, rich and diverse wetland complex lying at the geographic, demographic, and economic centre of the Cowichan Valley. That it is still an area of exceptional bird, fish and other wildlife values is a testimony to the passion and determination of so many to preserve it - the people who over nineteen years have been active in the Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society. The Somenos Marsh Conservation Area is located in North Cowichan, BC, on the north edge of Duncan. It is about a one-hour drive north from Victoria and one hour south of Nanaimo, via Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway.
