Bryony House

ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES To provide shelter for women and their children who seek safe and secure refuge from a violent intimate relationship. To own, operate, and maintain house(s) for temporary accommodation of abused women and their children. To provide abused women with culturally sensitive (or appropriate) support services, including counselling, with the aim of regaining power to consider alternatives and pursue options. To provide children of the abused women with emotional support and culturally sensitive counselling. To raise funds to further the objectives of the Halifax Transition House Association. To increase society’s awareness of violence against women and their children. To advocate legislative, social and economic change with the aim of ending violence against women and their children.

Jesses House

Jesse’s House is a home for adolescent girls who have been removed from conditions of abuse, or adverse circumstances in order to secure their safety and well-being. In addition to providing shelter and basic care, we ensure the medical, dental, and mental health needs of each resident are evaluated, and appropriate services are provided in order to maintain their physical and mental health. We also provide academic support and life skills development to help them achieve academic success and prepare them for independent, adult life. In essence, we strive to serve as a counterbalance to the trauma and neglect they have experienced in order to help guide them through their present challenges, and their years beyond Jesse’s House.

Vision House

Our mission is to make a significant contribution to the community by reducing the number of homeless men, women and children in Washington State. Vision House works to dramatically change the lives of homeless families by providing services that teach self-sufficiency, ultimately empowering our residents to avoid homelessness, poverty and abuse in the future.

Independence House

Independence House helps all domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their children by creating opportunities to find safety and become empowered through crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, referral, prevention outreach, education and inspiring change in our community. Our vision is to see domestic and sexual violence come to an end.

Willow House

The mission of Willow House is to provide grief support and education for youth, families,schools and other communities grieving the death of a parent, sibling or child. Our freesupportive group services provide space for people to grieve in companionship with others whoshare a similar loss.  Our vision is that no child, teen or parent grieves alone.

Kinship House

At Kinship House, we address the missing piece in services provided to most children touched by foster care and adoption. In addition to significant mental health concerns, these children have been traumatized by a necessary but difficult system. Our work helps minimize transitions and increases the chances of children settling into a stable, healthy and permanent home. Kinship House outpatient child and family services combine ongoing consultation, therapy and education. In addition to treating each child’s mental health issues, we help families develop secure attachments. We know secure attachments to caring adults will help stabilize the child’s mental health. We provide family therapy and consultation to help parents develop the skills to support their child’s unique needs.

Christina's House

Christina’s House, Incorporated is a Christ-centered ministry with a mission to educate, embrace and encourage women and their children who are homeless or near homeless through the love of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to provide the selected mothers and their children with life skills needed to become self-sufficient as they transition from homelessness to permanent and stable environments.
