Wayside House

The mission of Wayside House, is to be a healing environment that helps women with drug and alcohol dependence by providing them with tools to rebuild their lives, reconnect with loved ones and recover from active addiction. Our goal is to help empower women to overcome their addictions and emerge as physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy women ready to maintain sobriety and thrive.

WIN House

Edmonton Women’s Shelter Ltd., known as WIN House, is a non-profit agency operating three shelters, for women fleeing domestic violence. Edmonton Women’s Shelter started when a group of citizens met in 1968 to consider the growing problem of homeless women in Edmonton. In 1970, they opened an overnight emergency shelter in the basement of All Saints Cathedral. WIN I opened in 1978, WIN II in 1982 and WIN III opened its doors to newcomer women in 2010. The shelters operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. WIN House offers: • a 24 hour support and information line • Crisis intervention, education and safety planning • emergency shelter • pet care program • weekly support groups • referrals to community agencies • regular visits by the Victorian Order of Nurses • support with Employment & Immigration • child support program • school maintenance program • outreach program • household packages for women leaving shelter

Sonder House

Sonder House is a non profit organization in Pennsylvania established to create a residential living and learning experience for adults over 21 with intellectual disabilities. Our approach is based on residential schools that encompass farming, gardening, baking and crafting as part of their daily life, offering a purposeful life and a sense of community. Our goal is to create a forever home in an environment that offers a sense of community and is rich in providing a sense of accomplishment, pride and purpose.

Agape House

The Agape House, Inc. is a non-denominational ministry creating neutral ground where Christ-centered churches can work side-by-side to reach a unique population of our local community. Our mission is to serve God and the community by allowing the love of Christ to shine through us. Those who benefit from these services have been homeless on a long term or short term basis as well as people in need.

Malachi House

Malachi House, created out of a Christian sense of ministry, serves persons who are terminally ill, without regard to gender, race, religion, or national origin and without cost to the resident or family. This Home ministers to individuals who need an available caregiver, who have limited or no financial resources, and are in need of special home care in the final stages of life. Our trained staff and volunteers provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support with the assistance of a hospice team.

Calvary House

The mission of Calvary House is to provide support to formerly deployed military men and women as they re-enter the community, as well as the families of deployed and returning soldiers  by providing services that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individual service members, families, and groups seeking assistance.  We will work within the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote awareness of the needs of our men and women in the armed services to the enrichment of all; and to provide high-quality, compassionate and comprehensive services to as many military personnel and their families as possible.

Caring House

Caring House is the first and only non-profit, home-based setting completely focused on helping residents and their families through the end-of-life journey in Los Angeles County. We provide peace of mind as we lovingly care for our residents and their families - assuring peace, comfort, support and dignity at the end of their life/their loved one's life. Our caregivers and volunteers alike say it is a privilege and often their favorite part of the day to help residents and families during this time.

Lazarus House

Lazarus House's mission is to offer guests connected to St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia and western rural Kane County, Illinois, who are homeless or in need, hope for the future by providing hospitality, food, safe shelter, and education – tools for life. We strive to make certain that all who enter feel the love of Jesus. Goals are to: 1)help the homeless return to independent living with the skills and habits needed for long-term success and 2)offer services and referrals to help those in need in our community in order to prevent homelessness and support the well being of individuals and their families.

HEARTWOOD HOUSE

For 12 years Heartwood’s eighteen small non- profits have been successfully sharing space, ideas and resources to deliver a wide range of services to Ottawa including: Literacy, Second Language Training, Mental Health Support, Immigrant Assistance, Housing and Family Support, and Skills Training. Heartwood welcomes thousands of volunteers and participants each year and is a launching pad for future success for people of all ages and walks of life. Due to the sale of our current building, Heartwood is taking the next step to strengthen our “better together” model by purchasing our own building. This will ensure a stable affordable future for our member organizations. We need you support to raise $400,000 for our renovations and move.

JESPY House

South Orange-based JESPY House is a non-profit organization that has supported adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for over 45 years. Clients, age 18 and up, are guided in various areas along their journey to independence and leading fulfilling lives. JESPY’s philosophy is to promote self-direction, choice, and independent community living. Clients come from across the country to build lives in a community they can call their own. In conjunction with clients and their families, JESPY works to break down communication and physical barriers they may have experienced to ensure that all clients have access to opportunities for full inclusion and advancement in their undertakings.
