The Carter Center, in partnership with Emory University, is guided by a fundamental commitment to human rights and the alleviation of human suffering; it seeks to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health. Programs are directed by resident experts or fellows, who design and implement activities in cooperation with President and Mrs. Carter, networks of world leaders, other nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and partners in the United States and throughout the world.

King Foundation is a non-violent conflict resolution entity formed to revolutionize the mind-set, attitude and behavior that promote violence and war with non-violent principles and methods as the preferred choice of conflict resolution throughout the world. Rev. A.D. King believed that war is never the answer and non-violence means will always overcome all means necessary. He believed that building bridges of mutual understanding, cooperation, goodwill, respect and love for humanity across gender, race, religion and culture will achieve peaceful coexistence and bring us closer to building a peaceful loving and gracious beloved community of humanity. AD King Foundation was established to raise funds to construct AD King Memorial in Birmingham Alabama and Louisville Kentucky . LIK Operation Roam (Rapid Ongoing Advance Missions) is to provide an opportunity for BIPOC leaders to step into the realm of public land and freshwater conservation efforts and disrupt the historical system that allowed BIPOC voices of not being invited to government spaces where the decisions were made about land and wildlife and indigenous conservation policies.

Our primary mission is to provide shelter for cats and kittens that are homeless, abused, neglected, casualties of economic misfortune, or otherwise unwanted, and to facilitate their placement into loving homes. We ensure that every cat and kitten has been tested, vaccinated, and sterilized before being adopted.We do not compromise on health care and if we have room we do not reject a cat because of age, medical condition, or behavioral disposition.

Seattle Humane promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need, regardless of age, ability, circumstance or geography.
