Founded in 1876, and is committed to following Jesus Christ a bit better today than yesterday both in our community and the world.

(a) To promote human rights education and provide legal assistance to poor and vulnerable groups in the Rwandan community at Large. (b) To empower individuals and groups to campaign for their own rights and the human rights of others peacefully .

Mission of FBC Mount Airy The purpose of this body is: to provide regular opportunities for public worship, to sustain the ordinances and doctrines set forth in the New Testament for the church of our Lord Jesus Christ, to nurture its members through a program of Christian education, to minister to the suffering and lonely, to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of its members and of persons in the community or around the world, to channel its offerings to support the Kingdom of God, and to further the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord as set forth in the Holy Scriptures.

We are located at 141 East Memorial Drive in Downtown Dallas, GA. There are five buildings that comprise our church; The Sanctuary, The Family Life Center, The Educational Building, the Annex Building, and The Church office.

We are a liberal religious congregation coming out of a Judeo Christian background. Part of a 600 year tradition, we have been in Ottawa for over 100 years and are known throughout the community for our effective social action, our strong caring network, and the opportunities for a non-dogmatic approach to spiritual development regularly offered to the members and the public.

We are committed to the message that God has acted on our behalf in Jesus and that through Jesus we can experience a life-transforming relationship with God. A Lutheran understanding of this Good News with a commitment to Word alone, Faith alone, and Grace alone under girds and shapes our ministry. We value and upholding the God-given worth of each individual. We want to help people discover their God-given potential through a relationship with Jesus and are committed to treating all people with dignity and respect. We desire to share the love of Christ in relevant and engaging ways with those not yet connected to Christ or the church. We are passionately committed to doing whatever it takes within the context of the Gospel to build a church that reaches new people and helps them grow in their relationship with Christ. Risk, relevance, change, flexibility, excellence and the freedom to fail grow out of our desire to connect the Gospel to the communiity.
