Equitas, a global leader in human rights education has been making a real and tangible difference in advancing human rights in Canada and around the world since 1967. Our programs aim to transform societies so that violating human rights or standing idly by are no longer tolerated. Human dignity, equality, tolerance, acceptance, understanding and mutual respect are universal values which are helping us to find new paths to peace, social justice and sustainable development. We call this work “building a global culture of human rights”. With training programs in Canada and abroad, we have already provided education and training to more than 2,000 human rights professionals working in the field, empowering them to become more effective in their important work of human rights education, advocacy and monitoring in their home countries.

We are a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to under served immigrant children, families, and refugees. With legal services, social programs, bond assistance, and an advocacy team focused on changing the narrative around immigration in this country, RAICES is operating on the national front lines of the fight for immigration rights. We defend the rights of immigrants and refugees, empower individuals, families, and communities, and advocate for liberty and justice. Since 2018, our Bond Fund is the largest in the nation with just under $12 million spent to secure the release of more than 1,200 individuals from ICE detention. Our San Antonio Bus Station Project helped more than 9,000 adults and 12,000 children released from detention understand their legal rights. We have a volunteer program with over 5,000 trained volunteers and pro bono lawyers to perform essential tasks such as accompanying people to ICE check-ins and preparing detained clients for credible fear interviews.

Established in 1977, Fulfillment Fund works to make college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under-resourced communities. Together, we build pathways to college, navigate educational barriers, create support networks, and empower future leaders.

Since 1974, Duke Ellington School of the Arts has provided equitable access to a life-changing arts education for the District's talented youth, regardless of background or ability to a pay. Ellington is the only DC public high school to offer a dual curriculum encompassing professional arts training and academic enrichment. It has a 4-star rating and is one of the highest ranked public high schools in DC with 97% of students graduating on-time and 95% of graduates enrolling in institutions of higher-learning, often receiving over $10 million in scholarships. Our students’ deep commitment to the arts empowers them to succeed academically. The Ellington Fund is a non-profit organization and the the charitable arm of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. We're supporting issues and working with grassroots charities to reverse the tide of global decimation of wildlife we can protect the future of all biodiversity.
